This seems to be happening so often that I think it is caused by a leak in my basic poker play. I will win a large pot with a strong hand. A few hands later I will get another strong hand. This time I'll get beat by a bad beat, not just a better hand. Does anyone else notice this as a regular occurrence in their play, or it is an anomaly indicating I have a leak? If so, what do you think I might be doing wrong?

Hi Kenny4,
Welcome to PokerStrategy.com ![]()
Yeah, we all see stuff like this from time to time. Part of the problem is that we humans see patterns — even where no real pattern exists.
It is unlikely that you're doing anything wrong. If you think you misplayed a hand, post it in one of the hand discussion forums — like this one for NLHE Hand discussions for No Limit
All the best,
