Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$500/$1000 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BU with T:h, A:c.
3 folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: (6 SB) T:s, K:s, 5:d (3 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, SB folds, BB raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (5 BB) 5:c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (7 BB) 6:h (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 7 BB.
Villain was very very reasonable player. Straightforward TAG.
I think on the river check behind is better than raise? He won't call me any worse hands, and will maybe try some strange play vs me ?

Hi!

Against a very straightforward tag I go for a thin valuebet against worse Tx or Ahigh FD. He will not c/r a Kx very often but will bet it. Most often I put him on a busted FD or some mediocre hand that (incorectly) goes for bluff induce and you beat all these mediocre hands:)

Don't stack sizes have an impact in an MTT? EG if villian is very short the thin value bet becomes much thinner as villian is not as likely to call weaker with a small number of BB, if Hero is very short the bluff induce may be a stronger component of a river check as villian may see Hero capable of bluffing a wider range?

I'm guessing here obviously but I have to think it is relevant.

We were both with above average stacks, so I think it doesn't have a big impact on the decision.
