I would bet the turn here.

Against one opponent the flush is not likely and you can get called by straight draws lower pockets
and if he has a spade he will pay you for a card on the turn. With this river I can bet again because
lower pockets will call without the A or K on the board most times but if it is a scary river card that
completes the str8 draws or a spade, I just check behind.

nh wp imo. I think you get value on the flop from low pockets, 9x hands and straight and flush draws.
After the flop flush draws are getting value from you. Straight draws will fold to a turn value bet because flush has completed which is a fairly big scarecard. Even fish hate straights on 4-card-suited boards. 9x hands will often fold to a 2nd barrel as they will start to believe you have Qx.
So, once our flop cbet fails I think it is OK to play check/call to the river if villain gives us reasonable odds and doesn't pot-size bet or donkshove or something crazy like that.

Only low pockets left are 44, 77 and 88. Everything else is a set. Villain definitely does not have 44 77 or 88 often enough to be worth betting here, so I check behind on the river.

Q high board is good to cbet, the texture isnt horrible for a cbet.

i would check back JJ though.

river is close... but i think a check behind is better with a lot of showdown value + a low chance of getting paid off by worse. 9x or 88 is the only real hand i can see villain having here that would pay us off.

This is a $3 SNG and we are heads up right?

you can never get 3 full streets of value on this board with your hand, you need to exercise some form of pot control, and with a strong showdown bound hand you dont want to open yourself up to a turn or river check/raise and have to fold.

So you check behind on the turn then how big of a bet if anything will you call on the river if he bets out?

something like half potsize. but really folding to any river bet isn't that bad. People bluff less than you think IMO.

River is a clear check back.
