Hello everyone!
My name is Emanuel (Manu for short), 19 years old, from Romania, from the small town of Lipova near Arad. I guess anyone who isn't from Romania never heard of them but you can use Google Maps. As the title says it not just going to be a poker blog but that will be the most important part of it.
:diamond:Poker.
I've been playing poker since January when I got my starting capital. Almost blew it all away in a massive tilt session. Just before that I tried starting a blog but it seemed pointless to continue if I was virtually broke. Reloaded and after I have withdrawn my $50 investment I'm roughly at $150 playing $2 Turbo SNGs on Full Tilt Poker. I also gave $4 135 players Rush tourneys a try, but without at least ~75BIs I risk going broke faster than you can quickfold. $70 daily swings are far too much for my BR. Only goals in terms of poker at the moment are to put in at least 20 SNGs daily 4-tabling, read articles... basically get better and see BR growing slowly but surely. Any advice you guys can give for a better and easier start is welcomed.
:diamond:About admission to university.
I first have the BAC exam (exam you take after finishing high-school in Romania). That's in 10 days. I have 3 parts: Romanian, Math and Informatics (Computer Science). Hoping to get max in Informatics so that's a part with no worries. Around 80% would be great at Math since it's the most difficult level high-school graduates take. The worst part though is the Romanian exam because it requires more reading, memorizing and commenting poetry in an objective (they say subjective but there is only one right answer so there is no room for my subjectivity) manner rather than logic thinking. Next there will be Uni admission exam in mid July. Not gonna update a lot on this subject but it's an important moment of my life and writing about it here will keep me more focused. At least I hope it will.
:diamond:Get a healthier life.
I'll try to change my bad eating habits. That's the most important thing. Next would be to work out more, play some football on a weekly basis and other activities good for the body and the mind. For this I think I'll read the links RobbieV posted in the PS team blog. Again, if you have any advice post it.
I'll try to keep this up to date through the whole summer at least. After that I don't know. If I run great I'm most certainly gonna brag about it here even in winter :f_biggrin:.
To summarize:
$150 BR
$2 Turbo SNGs on FTP
University
Health & sports
PS:I think my English is good but signal any mistakes you notice especially in terms of grammar and vocabulary. It's a good chance to improve.
