There must be many poker accounts on various poker sites, where the owners are either dead, lost, in prison, taken by aliens etc...
so all this money is lost in space as it were.;;
So why not have an hourly/minutia one cent compulsory tourney for all these lost accounts, plus anyone who wants to to be in freeze out super turbo tourney, anyone else can just opt out

Many rooms — like PartyPoker for example — have a thing where if your account is inactive for a time, they just start taking money out $1 per month or whatever until it is gone.

That for sure, but not sure what other poker rooms doing in situations like this. I guess it's to the relatives to get the money of the poker account.
Not a bad idea at all, sites want to squeeze out every cent they can, this inactivity tax is ridiculous in my opinion. Many relatives probably don't even know if it's just a hobby or can't be bothered during the time of grief and simply forget about it.
