Having an ongoing conversation with a friend who will back me in MTT's. I think his expectations are unrealistic and that MTTs are long term results and you can go on long stretches without a cash. He believes if I am any good, I should cash in 20% of twelve tournaments.

In 12 tournaments anything can happened. Variance could be huge. Off course it depends with how many players you start with a tournament. If you play tournaments with more than 1k players, you can get on the right side of the variance with more than 3 cashes or you don’t cash at all. Off course if you make only min cashes you don’t win much ether.

Just try to play your best and expect nothing, play the game despite MTT variance being high you can still make ITMs gret % of time if playing TAG
