helloo everyy one
im playing in stars and my bankroll is 250$ , which i made it by myself . im playing in 1$ tourney But during the last moth my bankroll didnt change .i mean i played about 70 tournaments from three weeks aago but my bankroll is still about 250$ .
some times i lose and some times become for example 20th or 50th between 6000 player and win 4$ . the variance in 1$ tournament is really high and you cant become first or second because of huge amount of players and their game style ( shove all in and play any two card ) . so im so exhausted and decided to play in higher buy in tournament like 5$ .
so , what do u think ? is it dangerous for my bankroll?
if u have a recommendation , what is the best way to increase my bankroll ??
thank you

How many tables do you play at once? And what site?
In pokerstars there are slow 180, 90 man MTSNGs with 15 min blind levels (really soft) and 10 min blinds 45mans.
You can also play bigger and lower than 1$ and retain your average buy-in around 1-2$
For example mix 50 cent turbos, 1.50 turbos, 2.50 slow structure and 4.50 slow structure. :f_thumbsup:

thank you budy
im playing in pokerstars . the problem in that 180 man is that u only have 1500 chips exept 3000 regular chips , which means if you lose one hand u probably cant come back to the table . because of this i play in regular tournaments with 6000 players .
do u play in 180 man??? and is it profitable for u???

Ofcourse they are! The fact that you start with 75 instead of 150bb is not that big of an issue, its just that you will get shortstacked a little faster but if you know ur shove/call ranges youll be golden _thumbsup:
Its ok if you dont like turbo MTSNGs but I highly recommend the 15min blind levels _drink:

the5 $ tournament is the same as 1$ - we call it microlimit. You will not move up by this. If you think you play good, increase your bankroll and start playing medium limits. You will see the difference of players. and you can take 1st or 2nd place rather often.

Most players aren’t capable to play profitable on these stakes.
Also, you need a bankroll of approximately 10k to use a good bankroll management.

on stars at this Limit there are so many regs. I wouldn`t recommend them as a non reg.
The Problem on the Micros is the variability. Just choose tournaments with a field of less than 1k Players. It doesn`t take that much time even if ist non Turbo and you have to beat micros before raising the Limits. I can highly recommend the progressiv knockouts.

If you play tournaments with big fields like on PokerStars you can better use 200 or even more buy-inns as bankroll management. Especially if you want to life of it as well.

it's better to start running tournaments from 22$ buy-in and you will see the changes. of course you should have bankroll minimum 2.000$

Bankroll is most likely the issue for most players. I think you can play on every micro limit to improve your game first before you play a higher limit like the $22.

I was told 100 buy ins for the limit your at, I love tournaments but am not very good at them so make a bit of money on cash and lose it on tournaments.

This is for STT SNG’s the right amount of buy-inns, but for MTT (SNG)’s and hyper STT’s you need to have a lot more buy-inns to beat the variance without risking your entire bankroll.

I guess taking shots can maximize your profits...but if you dont feel comfortable playing the higher limits step down again...
