this title reminds me of Harry Plopper.

I'm terribly sorry, that wasn't my intention..

It was really hard to find good tables today. Maybe it's because of the weekend but allmost in every table there was 1-2 (drunken?) super-aggro players who were just potting all the time. Sure it's +EV to play with then but i don't like the variance part and that's inevitable when you play with them. That's why i tried to find some basic CS's to play with. When i finally find them, all the other players were crap-stacks, regs, or maniacs so after an hour i played next one just 1-2 tabling. With that little number of tables i was able to keep the level of my game quite good.

First 2/3 of the session was ok but after that, if didn't miss the flop, i missed every draw i had. Final result was ~400 hands and 1/2 bin up.

No really interesting hands today either, but this one is something like that

Ok, i bluff..

Villain is pretty straightforward. He likes to steal and he likes to cBet a lot. On the other hand he doesn't like to do multi-street bluffs and his WTsD is quite low.

I believe that i'm ahead on the flop but don't really know what to do. I decided to call and see if he give up on turn.

When villain bets the turn he have something. I'm quite sure that it's some made hand, maybe top2/set. Even overpair is possible because my line looks somewhat weak (draw/TP/OP). Bare TP he might check behind.

I have ~30% against his range. I block topset so that reduce some of his sets. Anyway, i decided to call.

River completes the straight. Because of the given range, i don't think my TP is good here and because i know that he is capable to fold, i decided to run my bluff.

P.S. I should think up some alternative lines than just check-calling in this kind of situations. X(

350 hands and 2,5 buy-ins up was quite nice way to finish this month. :f_grin:
Few interesting hands to post also, but let's start with graph of August

5k hands per month isn't really that much but i didn't expected much more.
If nothing extraordinary doesn't happen, i believe that in next month i can make it to the 10k hands.

And because we live in the world of quarters, here's the graph of June -> August.

And those hands from today's session:

Sometimes even the maniacs lose

Horrible, horrible day.. :(
I lost like 3,5 buy-ins within 10 minutes all in 3/4 bet pots with aces. One guy flopped trips, second one set and third donkey decided to call my cBet with gutshot and not so surprisingly he hit on the turn. That's all for the day.. _mad:

look forward to when they check call twice and checks river with flopped Topset of Queens no fd or straight draw whatsoever. river was a K so I have no idea what he was thinking. he also called down A high flush on non paired board. I have only had about 50 hands of PLO2 in the last year (FL player but interested in plo) even I know that is bad. Isn't it ?

Sometimes it's difficult to get inside their heads.. :f_grin:

Whole September has been a disaster so far. 6,5 buy-in down in PLO10 in 1,4k hands. After that i went back to PLO5 and i gained 4 buy-ins in 200+ hands. Don't know what to say. Nothing seems to work in PLO10 no matter what i do. Two times 2nd nuts wasn't enough against 80/60/50 guys and i've been forced to fold my hand even lot of my stack has been in, just because i knew they "got it."

If something positive have to mention, at least i haven't tilted and haven't start doing too many Hero(tilt) calls. Just have to put volume in and hope that things will eventually turn back to good.

And nice score in Summer Challenge Crapshoots:
Cashouts 0/20. Maybe i shouldn't try anything what requires luck..

Example

I'm not really worried about MP's hand. If i say nicely, he was just retarded. Sure he could have set/2-pair, but he played his draws also very aggressive and with his VPIP 80, i'm dominating those draws often enough to put the money in.

I think it's ok plan to try blast this BB guy out with minraise, but like everything else lately, that goes s*it.

If MP have shoved, i would have folded. When BB calls even when he knows that MP could really likely shove, with 200bb deep he should just step away from this hand unless he have something super good. And of course he have it.

Poker Stars, $0.05/$0.10 Pot Limit Omaha Cash, 5 Players

Hero (SB): $21.16 (211.6 bb)
BB: $22.94 (229.4 bb)
MP: $6.55 (65.5 bb)
CO: $17.51 (175.1 bb)
BTN: $9.10 (91 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K K 5 T
MP calls $0.10, CO folds, BTN raises to $0.45, Hero calls $0.40, BB calls $0.35, MP calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.80) 7 3 2 (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP bets $1.72, BTN folds, Hero raises to $3.50, BB calls $3.50, MP calls $1.78

Turn: ($12.30) 8 (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $11.78, MP calls $2.60, Hero folds

River: ($17.50) A (2 players)

Results:$17.50 pot ($0.74 rake)
Final Board: 7 3 2 8 A
Hero mucked K K 5 T and lost (-$3.95 net)
BB showed 7 A J 7 and lost (-$6.55 net)
MP showed 9 6 5 4 and won $16.76 ($10.21 net)

No matter what i do, i just can't win a damn thing. I even left F*ckerStars for a while but that didn't change anything. Maybe i just take a break and see what happens after week or two. :f_frown:

Thanks marzelz! :f_grin:

In September 10k hands was only a distant dream. Nothing seemed to work at the tables and last ~third of the month i was too busy and/or tired to play so results (and volume) was quite awful. At the end of the month i played one session in PLO5 while drinking beer before i went to bar so nice upswing took few steps back. But everything counts and that was just for fun so i don't mind.

One point i was down to 10 buy-ins but that's like nothing in PLO so i'm not too concerned about it.

Next (this) month i try to complete that 10k hand challenge. Again.. _rolleyes:

Here's the graph:

I did really detailed analysis about my game last month. Nothing really alarming came up and i was quite happy with the decisions i made. At least compared to the level of my game.
I did spew a little bit more often than i normally do but otherwise i just ran bad. When i voluntarily entered in pot, i lost 60% of hands when i had 60+ equity on the flop and i went to the showdown. My draws also missed little bit more often than they in theory should, but after all there wasn't any huge difference.

I managed to take quite a lot somewhat thin value and didn't pay too much to the villains when i was beaten, so hand reading worked just fine. In couple occasion i however did, even my instincts said that i should fold. It's sometimes just too hard to lay down my hand when villain reps something really, really thin like runner-runner str8/flush, turned set or stuff like that. Maybe i should trust more to myself..

This month is nearly halfway through and seems like 10k hands remains (again) just a distant dream because so far i have played only ~3,5k hands..

This blog seems to be just a joke. Last hands are from september and haven't post anything special after that either..
I promise to change all that in this month! X(

Last month was quite like all the others what comes to the volume, just about ~7k hands. Winrate was ~11bb/100 and EV 7bb/100.
I had some extra cash and i decided to boost up my bankroll so i've been taking shots to PLO25 lately. Let's see what happens there.. ;)

~500 hands so far in this month and because i promised to write more often to this blog, here's one hand:

What do you have..?

Easy 3-bet with an idea to flip a coin with the short-stacker but i get two cold callers. I could also just min-raise to have a chance to open betting round again if some of the guys calls. Of course that would require the short-stacker to shove but so far if i have tried that, 996 out of 1000 times the short has only called my min-raise so i decided to make it big. Short shoves and all three of us calls.

Flop is really good but then things get interesting. 23/18 guy donks 2/5 pots and other guy folds. I was really puzzled with his range here. Heads-up it would be quite easy shove because he might also do that with naked Qxxx to get cheap turn vs Hero because i believe i had somewhat tight and weak image. But when he donks vs two big stack that's a little bit different story. Of course there's still possibility of naked Qxxx because BB's cold-calling range shouldn't include too many 76xx because it could be very well be dominated. Finally i decided to shove but i really don't know was that a right thing to do.. :(

First Micro Millions Event (#9 PLO 6-Max 8,80$) completed with ~min-cash. First hour went really well but after that i just went sometimes little bit up and sometimes little bit down in chips. I was quite lucky and get my last chips in with aces but that wasn't enough at the end. :(

Later this evening i'm going to play #13 Stud 3,30$ 10k Gtd. Hopefully i'm doing better in that one.. ;)
