I would have a hard time retaining all that material.
Well done!

Time for a review of my first 5 weeks playing since a long hiatus. To be honest I'm starting to wonder if I have what it takes to beat microstakes cashgames. Is it the skill or the patience I can't say for sure for now. But don't worry I'm not giving up yet xD

I am a person with a positive attitude so i will only focus on the positive side of things for now i encountered so far:
 PokerStrategy is a nice community with helpful people
 Breakthrough is a nice discord group with helpful people
 My current gameplay is not good but I am running kinda breakeven so it's not all bad
 I still love the game

After reviewing/talking about hands in the strategy section and discord group + watching hours of videos on PS/RIO it's clear to me I need a new gameplan to beat microstakes. I preferred to play explotaitve but a GTO approach will be better for me. This will have to be done step by step. That's why I gonna set myself some goals for the month of April so that I can gradually implement the new style of play.

April goals:
:club: Implement a 3bet/fold strategy preflop (based on 50NL GTO Wizard ranges)
:club: Focus my study topics on how to play 3bet pots
:club: Read the first 100 pages of Modern Poker Theory by Michael Acevedo

I'm going to go with patience. You may get irritated folding, folding, folding, and when you get a good hand (like A♠:J♥ :) in the BTN, there is a raise and a large 3Bet in front and you have to fold even that.

On the other hand, patience is a skill.

Best of luck :gl:,

Hi, good luck with the grind!

Since you’re talking about the 50 euro regulation, I suppose you’re Belgian? Which pokerclubs you usually play?

Some years ago I went sometimes to the casino in Ostend. A month ago I played for the first time in Pokerclub Duckies in Marke (near Kortrijk). It was rather coincidental I played there. I am a member of their Facebook group now and they are quite active. They organise weekly various types of tournaments.

Pokahnights? I’m going there sometimes too but for me it’s also a one hour drive. Nice room, nice events, I like it.

Hope it turns soon for you bud.

Poker can indeed be a fickle bitch at times.

Just concentrate on what you can control and everything else will work out over time.
