Hello

My name is Ülari and I am from Estonia. I discovered poker for myself back in 2006. Started from freerolls and busted BR many times until I discovered free poker money. I am sure that to some point I blowed it all up, but I still managed to stay in the game somehow. I didn't know any poker theory or what hands should I play. So I started learning littlebit. As a result I managed to maintain steady BR increase and moved up to NL100 for a short time. Main game were NL25FR. Good 500k hands I was very little winner and big swings did hurt my head and mindset. As a result I have never been very good volume grinder. 30k hands per month is very near to max. Results started to show after I used coach for a month with profit deal. Hourly rate would have been crazy for me, so profit deal with 30k hands were best for me. Since 2006 to 2011 I earned around 5-6k€ with bonuses. This shows that I lacked constancy and volume. Basically I stoped playing in 2011. Maybe few sessions in 10 years. In that period (2006-2011) I switched to many formats but never mastered any of them. HU, HUSNG, Hyper HUSNG, 9-man SNG, 50/50 and so on. I played it all but never at the same time. MTT is only format that I have avoided because I can't stand to sit on computer more than few hours. That it for prologue.

After x-mas 2021 little more than a week ago I discovered little money on one of my pokeraccounts. I also checked pokerstars and there were also around 40$. I had problems with cashout but eventually it was solved.

So after x-mas I started playing with 16€ I found on GG.
I worked on some microstakes play because 10 years is very long time and usually people forget some even simplest things.
As a result for my 2021 poker year I managed to get my bankroll in GG from 16€ to ~50€ playing NL2 shorhanded cashgame.
I cant post pics so I just write it down. 9000 hands and 35$ profit.
New year started with 2 suprises. First I got my pokerstars cashout finally 25€. I moved it to Olybet (GG) and started playing. After few tables had opened I checked lobby for day before leaderboard bonuses. I assumed around 0,5$ or something. My eyes almost poped out when I saw 84$ on my account waiting. at 31.12.2021 I had won some money with BadBeat flipout promo. For NL2 grinder its 40BI :f_cool: So I moved up to NL5. I have played now few days and first negative run is stabilized and turned to right direction. With that said, today I won again some mone with the same BadBeat flipout promo. This time ~44$. As a result after moving BR to one room I have managed to get my bankroll from 16€ to 224$. Shortly Its time to move up again.

Why I started to playing again? I just thought its better use of my time than watching TV or playing Farming Simulator
My goal is to move up few steps and maintain positive winrate. Endgoal is to be able to get around 300-500€ per month from poker. Its not very ambitious goal, but I am no pro and still have daily job.

Good luck

How can I post hands here from GG network sites?
Also today it seemed I can post images but I was wrong. It gives me this error mesage : With your current user-status you are not allowed to post external links.
Also draging image to blog post doesn't work for me.
Anyways of to tables now :f_cool:

PS. Cracked it. I needed to have more than basig status here. So heres 2021

Last session was great even with negative results. I managed to end session with -1BI
Great is that I know exactly where 2 BI went and its all on me. Usually I fold these spots but not this time. I even knew before hitting call button that it is mistake, but still did it. Forward from here its time to stick to the basics and grind.

1 week of grinding and household work is yet over. I have to say that the first day on NL5 were beyond OK. But all pokerdays after that have produced me negative results. BR have decreased to 190$ so its like over 6 BI-s with alomost 5000 hands. I don't want to be that guy who blames bad run, but this week has given lots of miracle cards to opponents turns and rivers where I hit something but opponents hit with the same card better. Like my OESD completes on turn but same card gives opponent nut staraight when he had only gutshot on the flop and so on. Enough of cry

Positive is that I have played on my b+ level and haven't tilted not once. There have been occasions where my knuckles have turned white but few deep breaths and its gone.
Another positive is that now I am here on silver level, so tons of materials to look over and educate myself.
I am trying to make one day of the week purely for educational and no tables on that day. I hope it works but we'll see. Usually I read or watch something about an hour before opening the tables.

At the moment I dont have any tracking software exepts ggpoker built in Pokercraft. This network doesn't allow HUDs so no point to purchase HEM3 licence at the moment. I am thinking about switching sites but I am sure that If I dont't beat tables on one site then there is no reason that I am more successful on other site.
5k hands is ofcourse little to make conclusions on my game and I know that I do mistakes time to time.

Best of luck to all at the tables.
reading time starts now.

Today I decided to make a little zoom session. I have been thinking over my daily schedule and it seems that it fits better to my daily routine. Main reason is that I can open and close tables very quickly. Playerpool at nl5 didn't seem very tough except insane 3beting from blinds. Half population were 10+% 3bettors. I didn't cought hand to punish some of them with short session. Zoom is fun :f_cool:

I think I am sticking with zoom. It is more convenient for me and at the moment I think that I am not worse than other microregs on zoom tables. Maybe it's just heater.

Bankroll challenge has no limits how many sites I play. So I decided to grind little bit on pokerstars too. I left there little seed money when I made cash out Like 10$ or so. I ignored brm rules and I do it in the future too on my secondary site. So I went with 1 BI to NL10 zoom. All went well and 24$ is on pokerstars at the moment. After little pause I opened tables at ggpoker and played same format. My bankroll there is enough for NL10 so from now on if disaster doesn't happen, I will not move down again. I will study as much as I can and let's hope that in the future I can beat nl25 zoom. Can someone please tell does optibet has zoom format and if it does, how is the traffic on micros. I am thinking of making account there to get strategy points here. I have accounts everywhere else already.

BR all together is now 239$

Found it! :f_drink: Zoom is great for volume but it's even more reg infested than casual tables, hence the aggressive 3-betting. Anyway good luck at the tables!

There is a four-tabling cap at Pokerstars meaning that if a player wants to put in some serious volume he/she has no choice but to play Zoom. Hence the reason why Zoom is more reg infested than regular tables. Hence the reason why 6-max regular tables are more reg infested than full ring.

If you want easy tables, full ring on stars is the logical place to be.

Same for me, playing some volume on KKPoker or Unibet - mainly to not waste time with other things.
Good Luck in your challenge! Enjoy the badge, too

Crazy evening on stars today. Almost blew my microroll there. In about 1500 hands I got stacked straight vs gutshot nutstraight on turn. We both made it on turn. I had oesd on flop. Next got stack in the middle with my flopped straight and ofcourse runner flush for opponent. One flopped set vs turned Kkk set. And lastly my fh vs villains quads :f_love: By the end of session I managed to got few stacks to my side also but still with 1 BI negative. All good and lesson learned for brm. Still with even 1,5 bi I will go to NL10 or busto on secondary site. Winning hands came from preallins. My kk vs AK, tt vs 22 half stack, kk vs qq.

All good and tomorrow I build some stairs at house, go to spanight with wife and kids and maybe little time for poker too in evening.

Bad news for me. I have "little" downhill streak at the moment and it doesn't seem to have an end. Max bankroll was 240$. At the moment its 185 and I have moved down to NL5 for a bit. All started with one specific hand. NL10 I 4bet large with AA 200bb so preflop pot was already 100bb. Flop Q high and of cource I pushed and villan hit his QQQ set on the flop. Since that hand everithing has gone from bad to worse. I'll grind and learn but if I fall under 100$ with my bankroll, I think that I will make at least 1 week theory marathon without playing single hand. My A-game is a dream at the moment and hoping to survive. Best thing from last week is that I finished building stairs to my second floor at home :f_cool:

cheers.

If tables don't deliver, GG badbeat flip tournament does. Yesterday I won 50$ again from badbeat flip out tournament. All together it's around 175$ to my account in less than a month. Still I need to start winning again on the tables too and improve my game. Can't rely only on luck.

I've only qualified once and didn't cash.
But still — it beats not having it...

How can it be possible. I qualify at least half of my sessions or even more. There is every time set vs set or straight vs straight or even worse.

My sessions are extremely short — one freebie only.

Long waited day has been for me. Finally over 4 days first positive +3BI pokerday. I changed some little things that seem to have huge impact on gameplay and results. On shortwords-less flating especially OOP and more IP gameplay. Lets see what next days will bring. :f_drink: :f_cool:

Its hard to deal but I must admit that I have tilt issues. Yesterday morning everything were beyond ok. I won several BI-s and by the lunch BR reached to 221$. After little break I decided to open tables in different limits. NL5 and NL10 zoom. Littlebit I played them together and then things started happening. At first I got stacks in the middle on the flop with QQ. Villan had TT. I was offered run it 2 times and of course both went to wrong way. A few hands later like copy/paste from that hand with different holdings of cource. Then like in 5 minutes I got set and was beaten by the river by runner straight. And after that, blackout, monkey just clicking buttons. All of this happened in NL10 table without saying. In some illuminating moment I managed to shut down NL10 table and continiud @NL5 but monkey was still inside my brain. Total loss with last session was ~55$.
At the moment BR 165 left.

Conclusion.
Dont mix limits when learning
know when to stop
If needed, use cooldown break after few beats in a row
Use safer BR for shoting higher zoom limits.
I will take another shot when BR is 250$ in GG site.

It seems that I win the most when I am not playing. Within last 24h GG badbeat flipout did it again. This time I won 147,39$ without even playing. So all together started from dec 27 last year I have won over 322$. I still remain at NL5 for a while until I can produce steady uphill graph over decent sample. Or at least when I win atleast 10BI from tables starting today.

I am thinking about to change pokerroom. Main reason is lack of HUD on GG network. When I make final decision, I think new room is going to be optibet. I hope that some tracking software works there. Second reason is to collect strategy points here. I have accounts almost every pokerroom that pokerstrategy is offering and is legal to play in my country so I have no more options left.

Looked at optibet (Partypoker network) for 2 days, and I am gone from there. Too little traffic for me and no HUD. Its grazy to think that NL5 Zoom analog has 0 players on daytime. NL2 and 5 regular tables games have less than 10 tables running. Now I have to decide if I get back to GG network or Pokerstars. Either way no strategy points for me. Pokerstars 4 table cap is what conserns me. In zoom tables its ok but for regular tables its bit too few. Having HUD would be nice.

I thought that Optibet closed their poker section
