Welcome, poker friends.
:2x:Welcome to my poker blog, which aims to document my Spin & Go journey, so I can look back on my moments of glory in the future. Having my own poker blog seemed like the most convenient way to achieve this ambition.
:3x:I have known PokerStrategy for many years, back when I was playing poker at a semi-pro level. This was sometime between 2011 and 2013. After that, my life took a different direction, and I left behind this hobby, which had served as something like a student side job.
:4x:The path led me to the crypto community, and I clearly remember buying beer with my bitcoins at a time when you could only use them to pay at fewer than 50 places across Europe. We all know how that turned out, and I managed to secure my wife and myself for the rest of our lives. I left my job in the crypto business and decided to become a retiree.
:5x:Thanks to this, we were able to dedicate several years of 100% of our time to raising our daughter, spending as much time with her during her childhood as possible, because those memories will nourish my mind for the rest of my life.
I don’t live any wild life, although there is plenty of free time, one still finds ways to keep busy.
Most of my daily activities consist of:
:club:Spending time with my daughter
:heart:Spending time with my wife
:diamond:Cooking (I’m a plant-based senpai chef)
:spade:Running in the forest
++ Taking care of the house when my wife and daughter are out
After a while, however, one begins to miss some activity, some purpose to engage the mind. I’m still young (31), but I know that challenging my mind is a good habit for later years in life.
Finally some poker ![]()
Through a series of random events, I decided to return to poker, and from the beginning, Spin & Go tournaments caught my attention. Especially because of their short duration, they offered a great sense of freedom throughout the day, which I’m used to. I don’t have to go anywhere, I turn on my computer, and I play. Want to quit? In 10 minutes. Simply great.
After an active start, I once again left my new-old hobby behind. However, something from poker stayed with me, and it was only a matter of time before I decided to make Spin & Go my personal project—a project to which I would dedicate a large portion of my time.
I want to win a lot of money, not for the sake of money itself, but because of what it represents in the world of Spin & Go. Playing the best poker at the highest stakes inevitably brings in a lot of money. A very pleasant side effect.
It’s been a few months now that I’ve been working with a top coach, and our goal is to get me to the highest possible hourly rate. That’s what I want to document here.
I will end my first post by setting goals for the month of April.
Goals:
- 100 hours of gameplay
- At least 48 games per hour
- No EV checking for the whole month (I was checking it once every two weeks so far)
If I fail, my reward will be to proudly purchase a mug of the city's football rival and sip from it with great pleasure for three months!
