24/01 - 13 Stone 7lbs
31/01 - 13 Stone 7lbs

So, we fail to lose any weight this week which is a bummer considering we walked over 30km and ate just our 3 meals a day.

Next week, I want to lose 4lbs.

That's quite ambitious for a week!

How tall are you Gary?

5ft 7 1/2

It is ambitious but there's no point pussy footing about!

Foot injury has not healed at all, in fact it may have gotten worse. I can still walk on it fine (sometimes there is pain) but if I apply any pressure at all to run it's sharp pain instantly. Not sure what to do.... I might go to the doc on Wednesday morning

In an ideal setting, you should strive to lose 1-2 pounds a week maximum.
Slow and steady is healthiest. An average person trying to lose weight should consume in the neighborhood of 1200 calories a day and lose the rest through exercise of one kind or another. In a lot of cases if you were to just increase your strength your body will have an easier time of regulating itself as muscle eats fat. Foods that are hi in protein help achieve this.
Consuming less the 1200 calories a day can be dangerous and is unhealthy.
Moderation in consumption and exercise is ideal with a reasonable goal of 1-2 lbs a week max.
By doing it this way it is ; easier to keep it off, is easier on your body as there is no shock to it, and produces a healthy lifestyle.
Good Luck

I only agree to a certain extent. Losing more than 2 pound a week through dieting is unhealthy! Losing any amount through eating healthy and exercising is IMHO not. Now, like in poker, IMO you should not be result orientated and the aim should not be the amount you lose (which is to some extent out of your control). Set targets that will push you more through exercise and make sure you eat healthy and enough and drink a lot (of water ;) ) .

The results will follow at their own rate

Thanks for the advice guys.

I've had to stop walking even for the minute as the pain is pretty bad. Or at least it was last night when I went out. It's feeling slightly better today but there is still some noticeable pain so until that clears I won't be doing any exercise.

That and the fact that I'm in for a heavy weekend of drinking and eating poorly (being away at a Stag party) means that I'm hoping to not gain weight this week as my new goal!

Ok, back from the stag since Yesterday morning and literally died for the day.

I haven't returned to my fitness regime as my foot is still in pain, I'm going to give it until the end of this week and if nothing is better then I guess I better go and see a doctor.

Other cliffs:
- Bought a new car today, collect it Friday.
- Have 30% of an assignment due on 22nd Feb which means I'll probably give poker a miss until then
- Have played fuck all poker but did play on party last week, finished 10th/1K in a $1.10

Still no walking, pain is definitely easing a little every day now so I'm hoping to be back to a light session of walking from Monday.

Got my exam results from January's exam and I was more than pleased with it. I was expecting 75-80 and I got 86!

3 modules down, 3 A's!

Still have my portfolio to finish before 22nd to complete module 4 and I've only 25% done. Aiming to get another bit done today and a good chunk on Sunday as well.

07/02 - 13 Stone 5lbs
14/02 - 12 Stone 11lbs

I think I've reached the max low weight possible from just eating healthier alone. My foot has now healed and I'm going to get back to walking this week.

More on that tomorrow, in the middle of cooking a nice meal for the Mrs!

Thanks everyone.

Enjoying a nice heater atm, had another TWO final tables yesterday, unfortunately they both ended in 6th place finishes but still another $600 in profit from them so it's not all bad!

Still not walking as when I apply big pressure on my left foot I can feel there is still a problem. Going to wait until 100% better before recommencing the exercise!
