Good morning all!

This morning I've spent quiet a lot of time going over yesterday's session and I've now complete a review of half of my games. Things were better than I expected from the first half of the day. I played spot on for 95%, only made a couple of mistakes, variance accounted for most of the exits.

Will review the remaining games tonight and be ready to hit the tables tomorrow at some point.

Forgot to mention yesterday that I regged one $4.50 reg speed 180 yesterday and I finished 14th. I will add those when my bankroll reaches a certain point. Haven't decided when just yet.

Anyways, have a good day and see you all on the other side of it hopefully :)

Ah there we are! Had to dig deep to find the blog!

Anyways, just after finishing a 15 game set tonight. Ran kinda standard from start to finish. Was in the zone so I feel I played quite well and wasn't as button clicky happy as Sunday.

In the end I had 2 Final Tables, finishing 9th and 4th. Disappointing but it meant a small profit and I don't believe I made any mistakes which is nice!

Gonna update this once a week to keep track of results from now on and that will probably be Sundays or Mondays :)

Gonna keep updates to once or maybe twice a week because my volume is pretty low so there's very little to discuss at the best of times :)

Wednesday:

Played a 10 game session in the afternoon after I finished the school run.

I had 2 ITMs, (18th and 27th) and one 28th for a glorious bubble. I shoved KJs from the BU for my last 3 BB and the two nittiest bromigos at the table in the SB and BB both called. SB had AA and BB had 99.

Thursday:

Last nights session started disastrously! I opened 5 tables but my battery died before I could get it charging so I was sitting out for a good few minutes. That shortened my registering time so I only managed to get 13 games going. I 12 tabled comfortably.

Had quite a few lol exits, Aces kept getting cracked, a set of Queens lost to runner runner Jacks for quads. Was losing flips by the bucket load until we finally settled in some and got 4 ITM.

3 of these went south between 12th and 18th the other I managed to get to the final table.

Quite a final table it was too!

Anyways, we got to the final 3 and then HU. Proud of my HU play as I'd made a complete **** of it the last time and this time I came away with a much needed win!

Big session tonight - the plan is to reg 9 tables for the first hour and then move up to 12 as I progress for the next two. Hoping for at least 30 games.

I have Saturday off as well so I will be reviewing tonights games before kicking off sometime around midday and regging 6, then 9, then 12 until 3pm

Next report on Sunday!

Friday night:

Last night's session was shorter than I envisaged, only played 27 games as I got tired not long into it. I guess that is to be expected after working all day,

Had 2 FTs and finished both in 6th position and had a few more mincashes along side for a slightly losing session overall.

Today:

Nothing short of a disaster. 2 min cashes in 30 odd games. Anything decent got *ed close to the money. Just standard variance but annoying as * when they all come together!

Played 4 MTTs early in the day as the tables were so slow in loading but I bricked all them as well. Didn't cost me anything in the end because I sold half to a friend and my share was covered by a $5 cash in the all-in shootout! 149th place.

Tomorrow:

My oldest daughter turns 5 on Monday so we are having partyaments tomorrow. Chances are I might slip in a short session late tomorrow evening. 12 games gives me 150 for the week and I would be very happy with that!

Gl over the weekend and I hope you're all having more joy than I!

Faaaaaaar too tired to have a session after the party so this week is officially wrapped.

Week 3 was successful for volume (138 games) even if the results didn't go our way.

Stats:

Graph:

Overall the month is shaping nicely. We ran super well during the stake but ever since we've practically break even. Results will no doubt come!

Overall January stats:

Overall January Graph:

Hoping to finish the week and month with a bang! 15% ROI is still very good - although I want to be greedy and aim for 20% for the month!

Plans for Week 4:

- Play Monday night, Wednesday afternoon, Thursday night, Friday night and Sunday.
- Review all games
- End the month in profit
- End the month with 20% ROI
- Keep studying and reviewing my game
- Pay more attention at the tables, stack sizes, stats and base decisions more on those.
- Play 150 games

2 more sessions to play this month before we can officially wrap it up. Played Monday night and today. Not having a great time of it but super happy with my volume.

Will probably fall shy of 400 for the month but will come hella close!

I wanted to stop blogging after recent incidents here but do you know what fuck it. Haters can hate/dislikers can dislike. This is my blog and as long as I'm playing poker I'm gonna mark my progress here. If you don't like me, the way that I post or if I give a negative vibe, or if I call you sir or rub you up the wrong fucking way then just stop reading. I've tried to put the shit behind me and yet it still follows because I have an opinion on things. Anyways - jog off, I am going to concentrate on poker now, my poker, my development etc.

Month review:

January started with the single goal of playing 400 games. After I think 4 days, my plans changed dramatically as I was involved in a trial run for a stake. I changed my goals accordingly but dropped out of said trial as it wasn't proving to be worthwhile. I soldiered on after chopping just under $200 in profit and proceeded to have a long break-even spell. That continued until last week when I broke my duck with my first win. Unfortunately, I didn't gain any momentum from that and I pretty much lost everything up until I had a 2nd place last night.

Tonight in my final session of the month I had a big breakthrough, playing 29 games, having 3 FTs and 3 more cashes after an absolute horrid start. The swings in 180s are immense and I'm still coming to terms with them and I'm not fully engaged in what they will bring but I'd like to think I've made some progress in that department. They are a volume game and as of right now my Sharkscope stats tell me I've played over 750 of them since Jan 1st 2014.

I fell short of my initial volume goal of 400 by only 15 games - managing 385 for the month in total. This is a HUGE achievement for me. Anyone that has known me over the years know that I suck at putting volume in. 2015 has brought a new change for me and I'm glad to say that I've taken the opportunity and found myself having a decent schedule.

I work hard and focus at work all the time I'm there - I'm enjoying my work right now - it is a challenging time for retailers in Ireland, especially independents like us, but we're fighting back. I got a bonus for Christmas as my boss appreciated my efforts last year and it really boosted me and enhanced my work ethic ten-fold. I'm trying to pull everyone together and so far things have gone well despite January being the month we all hate for obvious reasons. Home life is good also, my eldest turned 5 at the weekend just past and it was really nice for her to thank us for "the best party ever". That means the absolute world. Juggling work, kids, wife and poker has been challenging throughout the years but I dovetailed everything nicely this month and I hope it can continue.

Some stats before I bore you all to death with writing:

Games: 385
Winnings: $1,186.92
Net: $224.42
ROI: 23.3%
ITM: 19.2%
1sts: 4
2nds: 4
3rds: 0
4ths: 2
5ths: 2

Graph:

Definitely happy with volume, I practically doubled my sample size on the $2.50s in a month! Results were good at the end but studying and reviewing is more important to me at this stage. The results will come in time. Right now it's all about making the right decisions when necessary. I am still making mistakes and finding things each review session. As long as that continues I will continue to review every single game.

Tomorrow (or today as it is now) is the 3rd anniversary of my wedding so I am taking the Mrs out for a nice meal etc and escaping all things internet and poker for at least a few hours. Sunday morning will hopefully come and then I can start to think about what I want from February and set some goals etc. I plan to take a week annual leave somewhere in the middle of the month so I will work out an attainable volume target and then try to achieve it.

Anyways, good month by all accounts.

Spring is here, February 1st - St. Brigids Day here in Ireland.

This morning I've reviewed most of my games from Friday night - I still have to review my final tables but I'm keeping them for another reviewing session and will do a bunch together and see how I am playing in those collectively and check if there is anything I need to work on etc.

Had a very nice anniversary with the Mrs - 6 years have gone by in the blink of an eye (3 years of marriage + 3 years pre-marriage, all happening on January 31st)

Had a nice chat with a good friend on Skype this morning, it's always nice catching up with people that you don't spend as much time with as you did previously. So the mood is good heading into a new month.

Having fell just shy of 400 games last month I am hoping to increase my volume even if the month is 3 days shorter!

February Goals:

[ ] 500 games
[ ] Gold Status at PokerStrategy
[ ] Silver Status at PokerStars
[ ] Reviewing all games in February
[ ] Watch a video on 180s
[ ] Have a live sweat with another reg
[ ] Don't get embroiled with any controversy at PokerStrategy, keep a clear head and just concentrate on the poker
[ ] 20% ROI
[ ] Profit

This week:

[ ] 40 games on Sunday
[ ] 15 games on Monday
[ ] 20 games on Wednesday
[ ] 15 games on Thursday
[ ] 30 games on Friday

[ ] Total: 120 games

Broke my record for most games in a day today - quiet comfortably too. Results were lol though! Finished 7th in my last game which was an achievement in itself because I was 12/12 and bottom all the way from there.

Review to come in the morning. I know I fucked up in a few situations earlier which is annoying and inevitably costs me money. Gotta stop that shit!

Huge disconnection in the early part of the day cost me also, I had 3 tables comfortably ITM but by the time I got back I was in very bad shape.

Anyways, can't control the uncontrollable!

Be back during the week although I'm not sure if anyone is still reading

The anniversary, I forgot the congratulations bit. :sorry:

My opinion on disconnections is that unless it's some odd weather or technical breakdown, they shouldn't happen in this day and age, but they do.
I have 38MB fibre optic and it sucks at being quick as much as a pigeon with a damaged wing. :censored:

So here is a close one, or at least I think is a close one. The original raiser is a wrecking ball, the caller is an unknown. We are in decent shape before the hand so we're not really in a hurry to go for broke.

I think it is the first bad DC I've had in the last few years that was solely my side and not a poker site server crash. It's rare and while it did cost my some money I'm sure I will survive it :)

Thanks Leo, yeh it does indeed. Off to a solid start this year so losing isn't on the agenda. Thanks for popping in :)
