Hand Review – A9s (Clubs) vs BB 3-bet – Turn Spot with Flushdraw
6-max cash game.
Effective stacks: BB – 36 BB, Hero (CO) – 50 BB
Preflop:
MP opens to 2 BB.
Hero (CO) calls with A♣9♣.
BB 3-bets to 8 BB.
MP folds.
Hero calls.
Note: I know that calling a 3-bet with A9s is marginal, especially at 50 BBs deep, but I decided to play it in position given the suited nature and potential to hit strong postflop boards.

BB c-bets 6 BB, Hero calls.

Turn: 4♦
BB checks.
Now I’m in a tricky spot.
I have the nut flush draw (A9 of clubs) and considered that BB's range likely includes a lot of overcards (like AK, AQ, etc.) that might struggle against flush threats. I also block the ace of clubs, reducing his nut flush combos.
Should I bet here to apply pressure and potentially fold out some better ace-high hands or small pairs? Or is it better to check back and realize my equity?
I chose to check, thinking that many of his ace-high hands still dominate me and I may get to realize my equity for free.

Was this hand played correctly? Should the turn have been the spot to attack and apply pressure with my equity? I understand it depends on villain tendencies, but any input or analysis would be really appreciated.
