If they are targeting “stables” what’s to stop them from targeting players who are members of any coaching site?

GGpoker was my main site to play because for example winamax, partypoker is forbidden in my country. It is quite unpleasant to spend 2 months in uncertainty about what to do next . At least if the GG company respected the players and dealt with them.

Took them 3 days to issue the lifetime ban.

I would guess they are not interested in ever responding to you. I would recommend that you move on at this stage.

I see there is new news article up as well on this topic. Pretty disappointing to see someone like Fedor at the helm of this disrespectful treatment towards players.

I wrote to GG reddit comunity and respond from their mod operator is :
"Hey OP

Security investigations require time as they are conducted with utmost seriousness. Your patience is appreciated as rushing through the process is not feasible; every step is meticulously executed to ensure accuracy in the final decision. Rest assured, you will receive a response. Additionally, the notion that GG doesn't care about its players is entirely false."

->so nothing change . Today I wrote email at least let them give me a time frame for how long it can take. For now no respond ofc. I dont uderstand their whole proces because if I runned program like HRC, PIO , RTA then they would gived me ban immediatly and it wouldn't take 2 months. Review my all HH is for what ? What they WANT find or what they will learn from it ?Im not play CG and Im not play GTO perfect strategy and vs fishs I play exploiative strategy, I am not 3bet jam same kombo vs fish or vs reg . I multitable 10-16 tables and combined GG PS . I am sick of this.

I never received any response from GG, looks like they just ignored my request for more info.

Also someone drew my attention to the fact that there are GG streamers who run HUD on another network at the same time as GG without any ban or issue.

It's clear at this stage that GG just ban whoever they want to and provide either no reason or a fake reason.

Yep, i've seen a few streamer too. Obviously they will never get banned for it. It would look bad for them.

Let's get into inside of GG business. Now let's look around. They are just randomly banning winning players and promoting their opponents. It doesn't matter if a player has a 3rd-party hud running or not, but if they want to randomly ban someone, they can make that as an argument.

Just a quick update here.

It's 3 months since I was given the lifetime ban. GG have not responded in any way.

I have emailed them twice since the ban asking for an explanation and both emails have so far been ignored.

it's not registered to your country, so they dont have phone number? like, if i was given that, i would just call Olybet, the Estonian casino client, that provides us access to GGpoker network.

Also, there are casino watchdog groups online that are meant to serve as an intermediary of sorts between the players and the organizations in charge. I once got in contact with one of them when I had problems with a rogue "skill-gaming" site that auto-banned me for having good results, and while they ultimately couldn't help me because the site in question made sure to operate outside of all regulating agencies, their efforts were commendable, and they should have no problems dealing with a properly licensed operator.

I could link to the site I used, but it may contain affiliate links that could be in conflict with the forum principles. This one and similar sites should be easy to find, though.

To be fair, I have never heard that anyone has had success with operator watchers. The thing is that ban is justified with their T&C, which player has accepted. If site makes decisions that clash with their T&C, then you can get help from licence providor or regulator. The thing is that all sites (poker, sports betting, casino) have pretty much free will to ban players, as their T&C gives them rights. Either for no reason, real reason or made up reason. It's absurd how low player's legal protection is in this business.

If something happens to your legal Microsoft system though, while playing, that company holds some responsibility for your experience.

It may be easier to speed things up by contacting the gaming commission which issued their license. The poker room may think they can do whatever they want to its customers, but the gaming commission may think otherwise...

I would say the chances to get help that way is around 0,1%. It could help if GG would have acted against their T&C, but they haven't.

True, most if not all of those T&C include a line that ultimately make the room the sole arbiter of who gets to play and who doesn't. It's not even limited to poker rooms either, or even online services in general.

When I first contacted that casino watchdog group about the rogue gaming site, this fact was immediately pointed out to me too:

Sounds to me as though there are two (possible) issues here:

1) the site has banned you from joining games.
2) there are outstanding -- meaning unpaid -- withdrawals.

Regarding #1 : any site is free to deny you access to their games provided they have paid you anything they owe you. No one can force a site to accept you as a customer, that is their choice and their decision.

Regarding #2 : do they owe you money? If yes, please specify how much.

In my situation, I had a few hundred USD in winnings built up that the site didn't want to pay out, at least not without providing some sensitive information that wasn't required for previous smaller withdrawals, and their support stopped replying to me. I had also prepared video proof of me legitimately reaching scores that were previously auto-detected as cheating, and they ignored it. My goal was to either have them re-instate my playing privileges or pay out my winnings and close my account, and since their support stopped engaging with me, I reached out to that group.

Like I said, my request ultimately failed because the rogue site was operating outside of all regulations and my issue therefore couldn't be escalated anywhere. Luckily, I approached the site with caution to begin with and only made a small token deposit which was later withdrawn when my account was sufficiently funded with winnings, so I effectively didn't lose any real money.

In w34z3l's case, it looks like GG was willing to pay out his balance, so it will be impossible to get them based on this point, and it's back to the old "businesses are free to decline any customer they want" loophole. Don't get me wrong, it's scummy behavior for sure, but Kyyb is correct in stating that escalating the issue wouldn't be nearly as promising as I first thought.

When site gives you ban, they either let you withdraw your money or they keep it. If they choose to keep it, they need to justify it. Most common reason is that player has cheated or violated fair playing T&C. In other words, site claims that player is cheater. Licence regulates how and when site can do this. I know quite many players (mostly from betting or casino) that have used legal ways to get their money back when site has claimed their funds. In most cases, they will get their money back unless site has clear evidence that player has violated rules to gain monetary value. For some it has taken as long as year, but those who are willing to fight for the money have got it back.

But I have never heard that site would cancel ban. The only time it has happened, when couple years ago GG announced that they might have given bans a bit too harsh in the past, and are willing to look again for those who are banned. Not sure if they ever cancelled any ban though.
