What do you think about my line? I have the nut air here, and he is autobetting probably everything he calls with preflop. Maybe check/raise would be better? Thought check/call is better, because I'd just fold out everything that I beat with a check/raise, could check/call again on turns, and A/K turns probably gets barreled. Only problem is, what other hands would I check/call on this board? Because 8x+ is cbet, sets and combodraws could be check/raised.

Hi Holy93,

Preflop: looks fine

Postflop: I don't really think we should have a ck/call range on such a board here and we rarely go for a ck/raise (for value) here as well.

So we should just bet our hand imo.

As played the rest looks fine.

But think about what you would do when you don't hit your backdoor (10 outs) or one of your pair outs (6). In other words what would you do most of the time? CK/fold?

Well, you have to protect your checks somehow, especially in BB vs SB, where BB's calling range is super wide. Check/raising makes sense on boards where we often give up oop, like this low connected board (I'd check/raise here with sets, straight, because these are strong, but still vulnerable, and balance it with combodraws, 66, 86s, 56s,9x). Not sure about check/raising with AcKc tho, as we are ahead of villains folding range, so why should we raise.

Yeah probably have to check/fold on blanks, as there is couldn't really be strong hands in my range I can continue with. Thats why check/calling is problematic on textures like this, and not sure how to construct ranges, maybe should call twice (and use some 8x, 99 for check/call), as this guy for example, folding only 38% in BB vs SB, so im often ahead of his betting range (which is equal of his BB calling range on textures like this, where im expected to check/fold almost always)

You protect your checking range by ck/raising as well. Trying to balance a ck/calling range here as well (on such a board) is problematic at best.

We can ck/raise a lot of hands on this board from draws, to value hands and some weaker semibluffs (not necessarily AKcc). With your hand I would simply cbet. Plenty of worse can still call us and we can barrel multiple turns.

We can definitely play it much easier than we would with a ck/call.
