Hello pcfmcc02,

Doubt that he is floating you with total air there, he wouldn't just do that profitable in long run. :) The 2nd barreling idea is mainly targeting to make Qx hands to fold and avoid FDs to take shots at us.

Best Regards.

Do you consider a good idea the 2nd barrel? Is it better than the other options, c/c or c/f? Can you expand a bit on that? I don't think most opponents would fold a Q turn.

Hey all,

@Double2

I disagree with Veriz that when we bet turn we are aiming for Qx to fold. That would be far too ambitious, instead of thinking like that we should think: What can I get to fold on the turn? I think his calling range on the flop is ALL POCKET PAIRS, Qx and rarely random floatrs and flush draws.

When we bet the turn we get all the pocket pairs to fold meaning we get a decent % of his range to fold.

What else should we consider here?

Bet sizing.

If we want to target a certain part of his range to fold then we have to decide on a bet sizing. In this case we want to target a range of hands that will ALWAYS fold when we bet turn.

So in this case I would bet 4.50-5.00 and save bbs in the long run :)
