If you 4bet shove like this you are basically lowering yourself to his level. Keep playing your game and only adjust a bit. Call wider, bet bigger and only for value, raise more often but don't go copying his maniac-behavior.

Making a bigger than usual 4bet seems the right play to extract max value because if you shove he might fold the lower part of his range.

If he 5bet jams, I think I would call depending on how many hands you have on him and how idiotic he played so far. For example, what happend in the past when he was 4betted? did he fold much, did he 5bet jam all the time? ...

bottom line: keep your cool against maniacs like this. You will get him in the end, these guys are always caught in the end

I don't think you have to even increase your 4bet size.
If he 3bets that much you can call him a bit wider and start 4betting more. If he 3bets wide he probably has to fold a lot against 4bets, so you can start 4betting wider with merged range, but I see no point in increasing the size if he folds nicely vs smaller sizes too.

It is correct only if the maniac hates money. Otherwise he'll look you up with good hands only, and he'll have them often enough (to crush you) since your raise is so big.

Why so desperate to end the hand? If he's a maniac (and bad), why not just adjust to that, but still play good poker to optimize your win.

Well played. The most simple play, but the best IMO with this info. You can shove even wider. NAI 4bet with QQ+. Call everything else.
