What methods did you guys learn or use to estimate your equity?

For draws you could use rule of 2+1 (for next street) and rule of 4 for 2 streets.
If you have 8 outs your chances to hit your draw on the next street is 2*8+1 = 17
You can also put different situations to Equilab and see how they look. Equilab also has an equity trainer.

But basically at the tables, when it comes to estimating equities, is that you have a rough idea how often you will hit with your draw so you can play according to the odds. And that is quite easy. It can be done by multiplying the number of outs as I showed above.
