I hardly battle regs, I mean I have no interest in playing them because the edge is just too small, if any. At 60s, no regs sit me (if not by accident), so I get to play mainly poor-mediocre players. I also 1-table, my 2-tabling is pretty bad. I definitely implement limping, I think it is very important to know when to limp! I also run good at the 60s, though I think 4% roi + is def maintainable.
I'm sorry but I'm not really interested in talking strat with other people now. I often talk with two regs that are really good and just have no more time. I'm coaching one guy as well + I'm still at the uni... Feel free to ask few questions here though:)

To be honest, I'm not sure if my hourly can be better here. The reg/fish ratio is just too high so I sat at the same time with other regs. On the positive side, no regs really sit me if I'm sitting in the lobby. And even such a sick player like jasonc7, who is up 50k this year in husng, instantly declined.
Overall, I will still concentrate mainly on the 60s, playing the 100s when I feel like it and when the action is good.

No problem. I understand how it is with finding the incentive to want to study with someone who's inferior to you. It hardly feels like a mutual proposition but rather free coaching.

So when you say you run good. Obviously we know you run pretty standard relative to your ev line, but are you suggesting that you run good even in your ev line, in regards to card distribution, coolers, setups, etc?

1) You are obv not inferior, I have never seen you playing:). Sorry but you are not the only one who asked me to discuss strat with him and I had to decline. One of them being a very good player at the 60s. I hardly have time to the people that I got on skype already...

2) To be honest I'm not sure. But take a look at my 100s graph and my EV ROI there is about 9%. That's just too high even for 1-tabler. I have not seen someone to sustain this ROI over belivable sample. (so thats a rungood)
I think that EV ROI up to 6% is maintainable at the 60s and I'm right around there. I dont feel like I ran super great overall but most likely ran more good than bad ♦ I know RJRJ has a 6% ROI at 60s over 10k games and that dude is 2-tabling in sets as far as I know. (obv dont know how he runs in EV).
Its all just speculations. The only way to find out results over longer sample is to play ♦ lets see

ONE IDEA - challenge
Yesterday I just got this kinda cool idea. I'd reserve 1500usd from my account and take pretty agressive BRM approach. If I have 15BI+ for a certain level, I'd move up, if I dont have 10BI+ anymore, Id move down.
So with 1500usd I'd start at the 100s, go back to 60s if I'm under 1K and shot the 200s when I'm over 3K. With 15K I could shot the highest limit.
This will be more of a challenge (dont really suggest this trying to move up). I think it will be pretty interesting with a little harm to my BR if I do get busto. I'm still not completely convinced because I dont wanna start tilting at the 500s/1Ks and tilt even the rest of my roll off. I'm just not totally sure if I'm ready for this mentally. It sure would be interesting, if I decide to do it

100s seem to be pretty big jump compare to 60s. The lack of fishes is significant. Yesterday evening, I played almost only regs when we sat by accident or with Kyle Aiken, who was kinda hunting me, until I beat him 5-2 and he stopped sitting me when I finally got to sit in the lobby.
Therefore I will continue playing both 60s and 100s and 100s only when the action is good. Although yesterday I played the 100s and it was a mess in the lobby.

Yesterday I experienced my worst day in my poker career. Obv this had to come sometimes. Too bad it was at the beginning of the month and sooo fast. I only played 23games and managed to win just 5 Not gonna complain too much, you can imagine the run. Luckily I just played 60s, it coulve been worse obv. Score: -900usd

BRM depends on your ROI, limit you play, how you feel comfortable and how are you willing to move up/down. I use over 100BI which is probably too nitty but I'm actually glad for it now cuz I haven't been running good at all this week

This month has been horrible. I've played just 200 tourneys and I'm down 1,6k. (-13% roi) I played basically just 60s. Nothing is working for me. Everytime I minraise with a big hand, they fold. Everytime I make a light 3bet, they shove over or call and the flop comes horribly bad. Everytime they make a 3b, i have an absolute trash. When I 3b AI in the endgame with Ax, i get domitated so often its ridiculous.... Blablabla

To sum up, I'm not that much under EV (just about 12BI) but EV can go f**k itself right now. Obviously it is below zero as well...

And now a bit more seriously. I finally learned how tough the variance can be in HU hyperturbos. My drop isn't nothing out of line. If I look at graphs of other winning regs, it's completely standard and can be worse. That being said, I should realize that such a high ROI that I have been getting is just hardly sustainable. Good that I have super nitty BRM and still have more than 100BI for 100s even after withdrawal and this doomswitch

The only way to pass this negative part of variance is to play and play. Variance should have no memory, so every day I gotta start fresh and dont look at past results!!
I would much prefer these downswings to come at the end of the successful month and not start a month like this. Oh well

Anyways I find it rather coincidental that you're going through this because this last 2 weeks has been the same for me as well. It's been roughly 500 games, and I'm running bad in every form of luck. I don't have to explain it to you because I'm sure you know well what it's like;It's every pro players worst nightmare.

Anyways, I ended up going through HEM reports to see if I was leaking. Well it turns out all of my frequencies are the same as when I was winning for 4.5% ev, now im winning for .7% ev over these last 500 games lol. I also noticed, my showdown winnings were terrrible (lost a lot here).

With all that being said, you should consider going through your reports to review your game as well. If you need any help on this or just want to talk about the run bad, I would be more than willing to help.

That is absolutely normal when running bad. I mean if you can't win flips, you can't expect you showdown winnings to be good So during runbad, your showdown winnings are usually much worse than non-SD.
I use PT4 and to be honest, I still haven't learned how to work with it. I just reviewed some of my games, that's pretty much it.

Well of course my real showdown winnings were bad, but even my 'EV sd' winnings were terrible. While my ev non sd winnings would be going up at about 2.5% my sd winnings would be going down at 1.75%. Pretty much this just indicated terrible card distribution variance. Can you post your most recent 100's ev graph sd and nonsd?

Hey junglefishh, with 250usd I would definitely play 7's, because the rake % is smaller than on the lower stakes. However, if you never play HU HT before, start lower for practice. BRM really depends on the specific person, i use super nitty BRM even though i don't need that, it is just easier for my mental game. Maybe I will regret it in the future.
Games per month? Depends on your time obv. You really need a sufficient sample in husng, you can have BE stretch over hundreds of games. This game requires a lot of mental strenght and you need to be able to stay away from tilt.

No, I'm not supernova although I'm aiming for it this year. I'm a bit behind pace because I played lower stakes earlier and my volume hasn't been great due to school work and other stuff. But I'm confident that supernova will be not too hard to achieve:)

There's not a chance I'd play $7s with a $250 roll. I feel like 100 buyins is pretty standard for hypers.

As wasy said 100BI is std. for hypers. Now I play mainly 60s and have 200bi for it currently:D I think it depends mainly on how you feel about about moving up/down. Good luck!
