Welcome Pavel and nice to see you finally started a blog! Thanks for all the help around the community! ![]()
nice graph btw!

First update:
- first ever HU Sng session on pokerstars
:spade:44 games played, single table, 7 hours in total (yesterday evening + today), 25% ROI so little bit a heater
GRAPH:
(first 4 games are just 1usd ones because I was setting up my HUD and just getting used to playing after 1,5 month)
I think I will have a good feeling if I stop playing for today
Overall, I gotta say, that my opponents seem to be better than on FTP. PS is full of regs that know what they are doing.
I said I would post some interesting hands but I didnt have many over the 2K hands I have played so far.
Profit so far stands at 82.3usd with over 24% ROI.
There is one though:
Villian was limping calling machine. His PFR was 4. He folded to my c-bet only about 30% of a time. Called even a turn bet with just ace high and then he checked the river even though he had nothing.

The reason I didn't 3-bet preflop is because villian raised just for the 2nd time. If I think about it more deeply, I coulve 3-bet because I might have been somewhere in the middle of his range. He would def call. He really suprised me when he showed 44. That was great since I thought he was having QQ+ and maybe some flush draws
I experienced worse suckouts but this one might be the worst one heads up...
Running incredibly bad. Not that much under EV but experienced so many coolers. I played one guy who made 3 straights in 12 hands beating my set and 2 pairs ... I remember losing another set over set, had sets beaten by flush and straights. Typical example: 227r board, i had K2 beaten by A2 and top pairs top kicker beaten by some other 2 pairs ...
I think I'm gonna take a break, watch some videos, calm little down (im not tilting that much) and start again in the evening...

Ingrid: I completely forgot to thank you for the warm welcome... I definitely appreciate it ![]()
Other than that, July is over and even though I played only couple of days I will make a conclusion for this month and set some goals for August.
The HU challenge hasn't been going as great as I expected since I have been running pretty bad but it could've been worse.
Seems like I get coolered even in tournaments because I decided to play Sunday Storm yesterday, got KK on the button in 10th hand and some idiot from UTG open shoves all in. I thought hey Christmas until he hit his 2 outer on the river...
The only other tourney I played was 3,30 6-max starting at the same time. Overall I did kind of well (120th/2300), because half of the people are idiots. But got coolered as well:

I thought raise on the flop was great since I have been bluff raising c-bets of all players when it really seemed it couln't have hit them. I hoped he had some pocket pair not giving me credit for a king. Well :/
Anyways, 5 days of playing in July (HU SnG):
:spade:Tourneys: 204
:spade:Profit: $105.3 ($146 EV)
:spade:ROI: 7.5% (10,4% EV)
I think I have fine edge on my opponents on this level so if run a little better (not just EV wise), i might switch to playing 2 tables at once.
Goals for August:
reach Platinum Star on Pokerstars (I was going for Silver but you will earn VPP's 10x faster in August! ) To reach that status, I have to play 416 $7 Hu Sng, which should be easily managable even though I won't be able to play one week in August.
Quit playing when I start tilting! (I really start playing worse after getting coolered for a few times in a row)
watch videos (at least 3x a week) and finish reading "The Poker Mindset"
:diamond:one non-poker related: Weightlifting 3x a week, Running 3x a week (so I can run this http://www.nikerunprague.cz/home-page ) and eat a lot of protein ♦
The bad run continues... Not just EV wise but getting coolered and coolered. It especially sucks when it happens against some fish who is easily beatable.
Even the hand distribution seems soo off. I have played 2414 hands this month. If I want to count how often I should get a pocket pair, I divide it by 221 and get over 11. But I got AA only 5times. 3 of those the button folded and 2 remaining the BB folded after my raise ... But I just ran into AA with TT of course...
There is the graph for my summer session

The EV is off, should be at like 200usd
Ok, next week, I will not be playing, so there is a graph update
today I finally ran well (17 dollar above EV) for 67 bucks
Hello, haven't updated for a while... so here we go ![]()
I have played over 500 HU Sng's so far in this challenge
Summary (just for HU Sng, 7usd buy-in, 1tabling)
Tourneys played: 534
ROI: 6,3% (EV ROI 7,8%)
Profit: 236usd (EV profit 289usd)

:heart:I also won the czech community tourney (3,30 buy-in, 72players) for 68usd. I had fun playing 2x Saturday Duel (11usd HU tourney), though with no luck. Yesterday I decided to take a break from HU Sng and play some MTT's. I think I entered 8 of them. In one of them coulve gotten a fine success. BUT
I was a chip leader with 45players remaining (3,30 buy-in FR, 2300players) but then was completely card dead for following 50 (or little more). I tried to steal occassionally but got 3-bet a lot, so my chips started dissapearing...
Finally I got JJ. Blinds 5K/10K. I had 275K stack. UTG+2 opens for 3x, i shove all in, he calls and turns over QQ. No J on the flop and I was left with 75K. 2 hands later I got AK, push all in, got called by JJ and QQ and hit nothing and was sent on my bike home finishing 22nd (for amazing 25bucks ![]()
My HU run isn't great either. I feel like I have a decent edge on the majority of my opponents but cards haven't been going as expected.
Anyways, overall PROFIT with bonuses for this summer challenge stands at $313 and have over 1400FPP which are worth 22usd (gonna buy Sunday Storm tickets)
I have been running pretty well lately
I feel very big edge on most of my opponents... Today's run was no different...
Today's graph (still $7 HU Sng)

And a graph from this summer
Spoiler
I said at the beginning of this blog that I want to follow a 35BI rule... Therefore I should move up and try $15. But I'm not really sure if I'm ready to do so ...
I think I will take couple shots at the higher limit or I will try to 2-tabling 7usd. It seems hard to do so since I like to take notes and search for stats on each player :/ I'm able to 6-8 table MTT's without problems but HU seems hard if I play more than 1...

Hi, I am playing hu sng too. Currently 7s on stars but planing to move to 15s as fast as possible.
And I think you should definitely take shots at 15s. I see no point keep playing 7s if you have br for 15s
I think I officially moved to 15usd HU Turbo SnG and it is going pretty well so far ...
BTW: 20 more VPP's (about 5 matches) and I'm platinum on Stars ♠_cool:

Finally feeling well, running well and bad beats don't influence me that much anymore. I also touched the EV line after a while
and then gone back under ... slightly though ♦
Really nice results there :), I will be following. I am currently dipping into the HUsngs I am rolled for 7s but am currently beating each step so 1.50s sorted on the 3.50s will be at the 7s shortly.
Good to see some followers ![]()
Yesterday I had the biggest sh*t run in poker in my life. Nothing went right and I got tilted very quickly. The result was -205usd for the day which seems like a lot of money to me. The 15's welcomed me nicely and doomswitched me quickly as well. It was unbelievable, was getting coolered and coolered ...
Today I said to myself that even if I get to -1 BI, I'm moving back to 7's for a while. Fortunately I won the first match against a winning shark (4K in HU winnings in last 90 days
and the day ended up in +80usd.
Since my pokerstars account isn't tracked and there is such a little HU SnG educational material here, I signed up with HUSnG.com and have been downloading videos for the past hours...
Graf update
Spoiler
In the 15's, it has been going up and down and up and am just above 0 there
The idea of posting hands is to discuss tough spots and difficult dicisions. Posting coolers will not help you much. Cheers.

true, as you can see, i stopped posting hands here overall. I don't really know about many people who follow it here so I don't update or post here that often as I do in my blog on the Czech forum.
I will def post more if I see people's interest. For now, it is mostly just having the opportunity to write in English and maybe finding people who play the same stakes/type of game

As you can see from the graph, i have been running really well in the last couple of days. Didn't lose one HU today ♦
I'm also running quite a bit above EV. I definitely feel like I have been getting lucky in certain spots but it seems too low.
I have been struggling with the 15's a lot (you can see it). I had a bad run and got coolered so many times. And EV doesn't show that. I had countlessly 2nd nuts to 1st ones... Now I can't really complain, but there were tough days, when it seemed that my opponents were hitting everything. So sick
By far the biggest cooler occuring last week.

Currently I have a bankroll for 30's but I don't think I have played enough to move up. I feel like my game is pretty good and I will move up once I play at least 600 HU SnG at 15usd level.
I don't play as much as I would like too though. 1,5h/day average for September just sucks :/
if u r rolled for 30s, just mix some in with good tab selection, i.e. dont reg ones with regs in, if u see a fish in lobby snap reg him. i found level of hu sngs very similar from 10s-30s across sites anyway. Generally a pretty poor standard imo.
