Thanks for your interest Ace.I played a LOT of poker in june try to win this "quad" competition. It was 4000 $ .I was playing especially the last 2 weeks 12 tables for several hours trying to hit my quads.I finally made 11 (14 but i had problem with the sidekick so my sidekick number was 11).

I didn't win the competition.I am fed up.I don't play poker now.The only time i entered cash is the one you saw me but it was like 30 minutes without stats.
I play sometimes 1MTT the whole day.And that's it.

Thanks again.I am not sure if i will play in july.I was very "tired of poker" in june.

You sounded like me after a tilted session. Yeah you need a break and a reminder or why you play the game in general. You didnt start playing poker so that one day you would win the quads competition did you? Figure out why you started playing and find that love again.

I have the approach that if you are suffering badly, either throuigh your own bad play or the cards beating you when they should not, just walk away having turned your PC off. When you next come back the day or so after, play really tight and start all over again devekloping a more liberal apporach as you regain your patience and confidence.

Dude,

The Quads thing was just a lottery! You can't let not winning that get to you!

Like others have said, think about why you play poker. Take a week or so off, then BAM, back with a vengence

There is a combination of bad beats with bad calls.

Maybe i should fold to any reraise or any draw that shows.

That sounds like a seriously affected or flawed mindset. My advice is to take a really tangible break from poker. Trust me, things won't get any better nor it will bring back your love for the game (which I guess you lack atm) if you keep playing with this attitude. Honestly, do you enjoy playing poker at the moment?

Whether or not you fold to a reraise depends on a situation. Whether or not you fold a draw depends on a situation. Such things like in a quote alone show that you are not playing your best game OR you do not improve / study enough to understand it.

My source of advice? Own experience. Your last post has really reminded me of myself when things at poker were going terribly. Only after a couple of months break I realized how much of a sucker at the tables I was at that time and I was seriously feeling shame for myself, thinking how much money/time I wasted by doing absolutely nothing to change the situation.

After a big break from poker I got my love for the game back and Boom, NL4 to NL200 in half a year. (if I had kept all my bonuses and winnings)

Maybe your case is a little bit different, but my advice would be to take a break until you feel that honest desire to play poker again. (warning: after such difficult streches it may take a long time). Only with that desire you will be able to learn and study effectively, poker won't be pain in the ass, but actually the pleasure.

One more thing I learnt the hard way: Be self-critical. I read that in TwiceT's threads multiple times but this is so fkin important.

Sometimes taking a time off is the best way to get things back on track, take a few weeks off (without even thinking about poker), then take a little time to review your hands and sessions, try working on your problems before getting back to the tables.
Poker is just like any other sport, sometimes you gotta take a time off so you don't get overtrained.

Cheers.

If you are simply sick of the game don't play. It is not worth getting stressed over losing and feeling you must make up what you lost. Having the right mindset is so important to winning. You can also look over hands and evaluate your play and see what you did wrong.
