Pre Flop: (1.5 SB) Hero is SB with 6  K :club:
1 fold, Hero raises, BB calls

Flop: (4 SB) 9  3 :club: 2  (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls

Turn: (3 BB) J :spade: (2 players)
Hero ?

Hey guys,

decided to post some interesting hands for fun and to get some discussion going.

Here Villain is a regular player, has 3betting range from BB vs SB, not sure if he's fastplaying the flop in this spot.

Question is self-explanatory: what do you do here, what's your plan and what's your plan on a blank riv?

I think I would check and probably c/f, I think it's a tiny bit weak for bluffcatching and he won't necessary bet his draws there every time (I wouldn't in his spot, putting you on Ax that won't fold). And if he IS going to semibluffbet them, he's likely to fire the river as well and your bluffcatch will be expensive as it's a good spot for him to also valuebet light.

I don't mind c/f and folding out the best hand sometimes. I'm not going to c/calldown or b/calldown all of my Kx, Ax here and this is definitely one of the weakest of those.

Happy to hear other opinions on this

This hand depends entirely on how many 2's are in your SB opening range

If, like my default range, you don't have a lot of offsuit 2's in your range then K-high becomes a strgoner part of the range which results in this hand in particular being the bottom of my x/c, x/c range.

however someone who raises a lot of 2's will be lower in their range, they still have to call the turn but there is no need for them to call the river

Now exploitatively calling the turn and folding a brick river makes no sense so I can certainly we x/f but from a balance viewpoint this is almost always a x/c on the turn and and x/opps better look at my SB opening range on the river
