i feel that it's my responsability to post an update to the community, at least due to my hand evaluator duties.
sorry for not updating, i have been meaning to post something for a while already but procrastination.

nah, in reality nothing has happened, AT ALL. all monies are sitting there at the pokersites doing nothing, exactly as in the beginning of the month.
zero hands have been played this month.

random bonuses are rotting, so what do i have to say? dunno.
it's something like, when i do things, i usually put a lot of heart and enthusiasm and i just feel absolutely nothing for pokers right now.

however, i do have these "on and off" phases with a lot of stuff, and i do have some love for the game. so you can be sure that, sometime, something will sparkle and i will be back eventually.
might be in a few days, a few months, but i am pretty sure that i will be back (unless some disaster of a "higher order" happens).
and when that happens, i'll come with full force

I feel the same way about many things. I as well took a looooooong break from poker, partly because I just wasnt feeling it anymore, but I always keep it in the back of my mind, subconsciously looking for a game somewhere lol. when it gets bad enough i come back to play and usually blow people out of the water from the break.

In fact I blew a few stacks 2 days ago, turned the tables off because i just couldnt think straight that day, playing wouldnt have benefited me anymore then not playing. AND I CAN NEVER seem to get lucky when im not thinking straight anyways...not like those maniac fish who come play 15 hands, raise 13 of them, 3 bet 7 of them, and walk away with 3 stackss.

hello, just feeling like sharing some thoughts

i read again the last pages of what i wrote in this blog and reviewed some stats.
after like a 4 month break it's easier to have a more unbiased view on what actually happened:

- i still think i ran bad for the most part. okay, that happens, HOWEVER:
- i played a very weak-tight style after ~first bad week. just afraid of everything, looking for reasons to nit up
- i didn't enjoy playing at that time. that sounds quite silly, but it's quite an important point and i really underrated that imo. i really wanted to complete my volume challenge because i rarely back off my challenges, but really, what are the chances of it turning out well when you are sick of the game? just no.
- also, now i realize better that regs often don't play like you think they do.

bottom line is, why do you play poker? is it for fun? for money?
probably both of those, but what is it more weighted to?

from my starting post on this blog, i got into this just for some funzies.
and... i got lost when my mindset unconsciously shifted from "more funzies" to "more monies".
that definitely happened, although i don't know exactly when. probably sometime when i ran bad after moving down to nl25 to put in more volume grind. (AHAHAH so much irony in that sentence but yeah)

i mean, even at this point i still was ok, even right after having my worst losing day ever on nl100. but then, some time after, i couldn't take a bad session on nl25.
it obviously has to do with accumulated emotion, but also playing for the wrong reasons. it's really hard to play mostly for monies if you don't have a very solid mindset, a bad run will REALLY get to you.

so, back to pokers soon? idk really, it's somewhat likely (refer to this post), but i just felt like sharing these thoughts, it seems that this post is a bit messy though.
