One thing I'd like to hear about is the concept of "protecting your hand" and to what extent it applies to today's SH games. (I've been sucked out on quite a bit lately :))

Hey Squat, that sounds like fun.

That's actually a really valuable concept to understand because it goes both ways. Sometimes its way better to NOT protect a hand and there are several important factors to consider.

There are actually some different definitions of this concept as well. The one I use isn't shared by everyone but I stand behind it because i find its so much more useful. There are some cool ways to think about 'protection' that have nothing to do with playing scared and everything to do with maxing your EV.

So yes, I'm happy to spend time on that topic. If we talk about it Tuesday it'll be abbreviated, and I may want to spend more time on it. Otherwise it'll be another week (but soon!).

SCOOP FL is next monday. At worst we can review a few hands and consider how our hand range must change as stack sizes become shallow. That tends to be the main adjustment that FL cash game players struggle with (myself included!).
