Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BTN): 121.7 BB
SB: 92 BB (VPIP: 33.33, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 3)
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 85.1 BB (VPIP: 100.00, PFR: 50.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
MP: 184.7 BB (VPIP: 36.36, PFR: 27.27, 3Bet Preflop: 25.00, Hands: 12)
CO: 124.8 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♦ K♥

UTG raises to 3 BB, fold, CO calls 3 BB, Hero calls 3 BB, fold, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (12.5 BB, 4 players) J♥ K♠ 8♣
BB checks, UTG bets 4 BB, CO calls 4 BB, Hero raises to 18 BB, BB calls 18 BB, fold, fold

Turn: (56.5 BB, 2 players) 8♠
BB checks, Hero checks

River: (56.5 BB, 2 players) A♦
BB bets 79 BB and is all-in, fold

BB wins 54 BB

So after UTG open and after CO calls I think call here is pretty standart, since hand flops pretty good and I have position.
On flop UTG cbet small, CO calls, I raise for value from draws, weaker 2pair, TP. After BB calls my raise, he reps a strong hand (88,JJ,J8,K8)
On turn I'm most definitely beat, and on river I don't improve, it's an easy fold.

About bet sizing - was it ok on flop?

Hello,

KJo actually plays quite bad postflop in a multiway pot especially against UTG raiser and CO caller ranges.
I would either 3bet this to turn my hand into a bluff with blockers or fold.

Flop is fine.

On turn I would still bet - we do lose to AA, but we beat AK/KQ so I would bet for value there.

River is fine.

Best,
Plamen
