I am unsure whether my play was correct in this instance. I isolate over an open raiser and two callers expecting to thin the field and either steal the dead money or hit a favourable flop. I am unsure in this case, whether it would have been better to call OOP and see a flop 4way. I just know my equity is a heck of a lot better HU. However all I achieve is bloating the pot.
I hit a good flop and I decide to c-bet for value and protection. I did not expect a cold call by the loose player and run into difficulties post flop when an ugly tun card arrives. In hindsight I think my check signals too much weakness and I should have taken the line bet/fold here. However I decided to check and villain shoves which I just didn't feel that I could call as all draws hit the turn. Worst card in the deck for me. Any other blank and I think I would have bet.
His range was just so heavily weighted toward speculative hands I could not see myself ahead of any other hand other than a bluff and KQ. (unlikely)
Do you think this is the correct play on the turn check/fold or perhaps better to bet/fold or maybe bet/call push?
