Flop: ($5.25) Q  4 :diamond: A  (2 players)
SB bets $2.50, Hero calls $2.50

Turn: ($10.25) 9 :diamond: (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero calls $5

River: ($20.25) K :spade: (2 players)
SB bets $17.28 all in, Hero folds

12/7 3bet 4% 700 hands.

I never fold in this situation. The AI on the river confused me. On the flop i guess his range could be AJ+JJ+ and maybe some broadways.

I dont understand his play as he bets 50% flop 50% turn and almost the pot on the river!

On river i thought his range could be AK-QQ-AA. Nothing more and nothing less. As a 12/7 cant shove AQ on that river, a bluff less likely.

Thanks in advance

Hi leo23s

Villain plays 12/7 and 3-bets just 4%. On top of that villain is 3-betting from SB to MP so his 3-bet range is generally stronger and most likely a lot lower than 4% overall.

Generally players like him don't even 3-bet AQ/AK in these positions unless they do them as a bluff.

So on the river we would generally call for a split and nothing else. At best he has 4 combos of AK and there are also 5 combos of betters sets (3x QQ, 1 x AA, 1 x KK) so I definitely don't think we can call.
