FLOP PLAY: I have to admit, I feel like I misplayed this hand big time. First of all, I don't like my 3b on the flop. If we consider that it is for value against hands like 87, 89 and T9, then he may easily turn them into a bluff and 4b or even ship them on me (the villain is unknown). Then, if my 3b is not for value, it must be considered turning my hand into a bluff, which is of course bad, as I still believe I am ahead of many hands.
TURN PLAY: I decided to make a protection bet, thinking that he won't bluff shove on me on the turn. Once again, I'm not sure if my assumption is correct. There are still quite a few scare cards to come (J,9,6), but there are no flushdraws, so the board is not that wet actually... I would say, his value range is TT, 88, 77, J9s, maybe T8s... The fact that he called from the small blind, tells me that he is very likely to have a set here.
What do you think about this hand? I guess I could have bet/called flop and bluffcatched all the way till the river if J,9 or 6 did not come. Or, if I 3b flop, I could check back the turn and bluffcatch on good rivers
