Hi, In this hand I decided to check twice, only to ask myself on the river how to get any value out of my monster hand in face of a minuscule pot. With hindsight, I should start betting at least the turn to get value out of some fds and random deuces, as well as maybe some middling pocket pairs. Actually, c-betting the flop might actually be very sensible, too. I originally figured he couldn´t have so many hands to call with but reconsidering this, he might call with any pocket pair from 66 through TT, any fd, and some random 4x, 5x, and after all, there is still 1 Q in the deck...also 67s could well be in the range, let alone 44 and 55.
Of course, with some of these hands, even if he calls flop, I only get 1 street of value, so that was part of my reasoning to check the flop. But if I reckon that I only get 1 street, I could try it on the flop anyway, since some villains might call flop hoping to see a free card on the turn, whereas when I bet the turn they might just fold without improving. Checking the turn, too, does not feel very clever afterwards, even though in this particular hand it might have helped me get paid with my ridiculous jam on the river... Also I would like to know what you would have done in his spot on turn and river (even though the latter seems an obv fold).
.... in his spot I would have definitely attacked turn and if you just called turn, would attack river as well and call to a min-raise but fold to a shove.
