Thanks for taking the time to post all those hands and explaining your thoughts on them...

I really enjoy your blog, since it's not result orientated than most of the others but more about your progress.

Thank you for good words! :f_drink:
And it's also result oriented, since I'm trying to make a living out of it. Although this month was so far mostly about trying to find more aggression in my game, so yes, probably lately I'm more progress oriented.

Yesterday was almost a continuation of previous bad day, but luckily the last session reminded me, what it's like to run good again :sifflote:

SLEEP TIME:

  • January 17th - 03:30
    * Punishment for discipline error: today's sleep time 0AM.

Sessions:

Tournaments:

  • Spin & Go $5 [18 tournaments - 7 wins] -10$
  • 6max turbo $8.8 [119th out of 1054] +7.2$

Positive hand of a day: Patient turn call 2♥:2♦:

Bluff of a day:

  • K♦:T♠: - in blind battles I sometimes float on a dry board, representing a top pair. Planned to reraise him on a convenient turn, but he made a very weird check/reraise (since he's a good regular, he would continue betting with the :Jx:.. so this line is super polarizing). I still continue to represent a :Jx: and float again - it must look very strong for an opponent, and river is a perfect card for me (he can't bluff again), so he gives up and I just bet smallish, like trying to get thin value from my full house.

I ment some blogs here are just "Today I played a trillion hands and won 12 cents..." without anything else... no hands posted, no private stuff mentioned, so it's not like a blog more like a logbook... ;)

Btw. I'm always surprised by the huge swings in your graphs... not sure if they are "healthy" I would go crazy if it would be like this in most of the sessions...

Can't really play NL25, somehow HUD is messed up for that limit. And felt too tired to play NL50 seriously :f_rolleyes:

RaucheCh1987, swings happen naturally when you play aggressively preflop. I want to believe that long term it provides better winrate.

SLEEP TIME:

  • January 18th - 01:15
    * Punishment transfers for today.

Sessions:

Tournaments:

  • Spin & Go $5 [8 tournaments - 3 wins] +0$
  • 6max turbo $8.8 [2 tournaments] -17.6$
  • 2.5$ TCOOP Sat [1st out of 36] +24.5$

Positive hand of a day: it's raining queens Q♣:Q♠: and even more of them Q♥:Q♦:

Bluff of a day:

  • A♣:8♣: - quite usual, making it hard for an opponent to call on a scary turn and river.

Still didn't feel like playing much, was sleepy the whole day :f_zZz:

Sessions:

  • NL50 [510 hands] +5.9$ (session mistakes: bad play)
  • NL25 NetBet [510 hands] +56.0$

Tournaments:

Bluff of a day:

  • A♥:Q♣: - one of my favorite spots to donk bluff.

44 hand 3bet pot, do not evean try to bluff him off Ax when he misses cbet on Ahigh board, I would stab in this situation only for value, or with very strong draw, regs has ch/f on A high board in 3bet pot like 15%, and they will never fold it later, and for good reason if you are bluffing with 44.

Yea, it was optimistic to try bluffing him off the :Ax: with the third barrel, usually works on a single raised pot.

And guess who fucked up real good yesterday

SLEEP TIME:

  • January 20th - 02:45
    * Punishment for discipline error: today's sleep time 0AM.

Sessions:

Tournaments:

  • Spin & Go $5 [8 tournaments - 5 wins] +20$

Positive hand of a day: Dream flop versus a fish A♥:T♥:

Bluff of a day:

  • J♠:8♣: - one of my favorite spots after floating with a gut shot, against a disciplined aggressive opponent.

What I always notice when tilting, NL50 is just too fishy to be really aggressive.
Today's goals:
- tight from early positions;
- no 5bet bluffing; no 4bet bluffing OOP;
- no cbet bluffing (without equity) OOP;
- no three barrel bluffs in 3bet pots;
- and DO NOT call the big river bets.

hey man, two questions if I may
1) why do you always minraise UTG and 2.5 in MP and CO? in hands you posted anyway
2) why do you 3b 2.7x OOP especially deeper?

You do not need 5bet bluffing range at all in most cases, just shove with AQ+ TT+. 4bet bluffing oop is nesasary, you do not want to call too much, nor to fold too much. Cbeting is almost always more profitable then ch/folding with air, maybe just SBvsBB not so. 3 barell bluffing is evean more profitable, it just hurts a lot when you get called, most regs has fold to river cbet more than 50%, and they do not slowplay enough. Just pick your spots. Yeah calling big river bet with bluff cacher is uasally bad, most regs do not bluff enough OTR

CrazedTulip, minraise is enough from EP (since they respect EP raises), but from MP and CO minraise usually gets reraised, so I prefer 2.5x or 3x (usually 2.5x is enough).

dooleslovs, that's actually true, I just need to pick correct spots - when I'm tilting, I start playing aggressive against fishy players.

Looks like you had a rough day... Perhaps you should add a stop loss limit in addition to your 500hands limit per session. Let's say 3 or 4 stacks maximum!? That way you could avoid those give-away 300$ sessions...

After a big tilt day, I've adjusted my game and things are looking better again :sifflote:

SLEEP TIME:

  • January 21st - 00:10

Sessions:

  • NL25 [560 hands] -7.7$ (session mistakes: quite sure it was a bad play)
  • NL25 [530 hands] +90.9$
  • NL25 [560 hands] +19.1$
  • NL25 [520 hands] +29.0$
  • NL25 [520 hands] -14.4$
  • NL25 [540 hands] +1.5$
  • NL25 [570 hands] -111.3$ (couldn't win a single hand :rage: )
  • NL50 [520 hands] +112.1$
  • NL50 [570 hands] +25.5$

Positive hand of a day: Ship-it! K♦:T♦:
..and how to charge NL25 fishes: K♦:T♠:,.. Q♦:J♦:,.. K♠:K♦:

Bluff of a day:

  • A♣:K♦: - when a good player misses the cbet on a dry board IP, he usually has some showdown value, but wants to keep the pot small (probably a :Tx:, or a pocket pair) and if he doesn't fold instantly, you can get him of a hand with a scary bet on the river.

Since yesterday was a profitable day, I'll try to play abc poker again.

Still playing NL25 without HUD, but abc poker seems to be working and I'm slowly climbing back to profit :f_wink:
Although it's a bit frustrating that one unlucky session usually wipes out most of the day's work.

SLEEP TIME:

  • January 22nd - 00:20

Sessions:

  • NL25 [570 hands] +7.2$
  • NL25 [540 hands] +9.1$
  • NL25 [530 hands] +43.1$
  • NL25 [540 hands] +24.2$
  • NL25 [560 hands] -86.0$ (KK vs. AA;.. set vs. higher set;.. flush vs. higher flush;.. QQ vs. AK :appl: )
  • NL25 [520 hands] +46.5$
  • NL25 [570 hands] +13.3$
  • NL25 [540 hands] +5.3$ (session mistakes: bad calldown)

Tournaments:

  • Spin & Go $5 [4 tournaments - 3 wins] +30$

Positive hand of a day: Generous comrade 8♥:6♥:

Bluff of a day:

  • 9♥:6♥: - again, one of those spots against a fishy player - when he wouldn't fold anything on the river, just bet small enough to make him fold his busted draws :profit:

Yea, I was planning to do monthly stats. Maybe I'll do every two weeks :f_rolleyes:

By the way, having a birthday today, so most probably won't play any poker. Cheers! :f_drink:
