Poker works because of blinds, less people = more requirement to play and steal
Also you can play a wider range beause it's less likely villians have a strong hand so your pre flop fold equity is likely increased if villians do not adjust
Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it even if still not sure I agree/understand. I am on the CO 6max and it´s folded to me. Now I think it´s normal to have around 25 % open. There are 3 players behind me. I think it´s same chance someone from them have a strong hand as in 4 max? You would have wider range here, like 30 % or more?
sorry I meant widening defending ranges from the blinds, i guess your CO & BTN ranges should be similar to 6max as though the UTG & EP have folded - I would widen significantly though if either a) the button was tight and b) weaker players in blinds who are forced often to play OOP against you
My point was more aimed at defending more from the blinds - i think in these games your blind & defense would be a huge huge factor in your winrate
I think it all depends on who you play against. At average there is not that much of a difference. Yes, maybe we can widen our defending ranges, but this should be after we see that villains are attacking us wider.
