If u believe he can do that w any hand that got two pair, like Q9s, A9s, thats a call.
Me, particularly, think its way loose to call ur 3bet w these hands pre, or even call those bets posflop... But he open limps.. so I m not sure what he can do posflop. He also has sets in this spot, sure.

Against all the odds, I would call it. I ve seem guys limp calling too much s#!% and going broke w two pair.

Yeah I'm probably calling and hating myself when he turns up 55.

Don't you think he will have sets more often than 2p. The only rational 2p is Q9 and we block it.

I think the best option here is fold because when pot is suddenly much bigger than it should be and you are not the reason for inflating :-) than you should just make hard fold. But if you saw your opponent do that lot of times with 2P than you should raise all in. This is also very god example how your opponent can extract maximum money out of you when straight hits on the turn with hand 63s or with set if you usually do not bet river against this opponenta and it looks much more bluffy than CR on river.

I guess we have to fold. Fishes like to limp-call small pocket pairs (I know I used to), so 44 & 55 seem possible. I don't know if I could fold this in game but there's no reasonable hand we beat here. Unless it's a random spew, which might be possible.

Yeah. I would call. There is a straight out there, but very, very unlikely that he has it. You've got top 2, so unless you think he hast a set, you have to call here.

We cannot exclude the sets here.

the only hands I see him doing that with are 23s (very unlikely but possible (maybe 2 of the 4 combos - he might like his suited hands :) ) sets and 67s (again 2 combos) and of course AQ as well. I dont see him playing 2 pairs like that other than top 2 .

Board: Q♥5♠4♦ A♣ 9♣
       Equity     Win     Tie
MP2    23.08%   7.69%  15.38% { AsQs }
MP3    76.92%  61.54%  15.38% { 55-44, AdAc, QdQc, AQs, 7d6d, 3d2d, AQo }

IMO it's an easy fold

I would have a pretty hard time folding. Someone who's limp calling is usually a weaker player. He's donking and overbet-jamming. They can easily have a lot of weaker hands in their range. Some of them being completely random. Folding is imo way too tight here. This is a spot that you'll have to take I guess and hope for the best once you call.

But I've been playing NL 16 for a while and I played some NL 10 the last week to compare the two stakes and what I noticed is that people on 10 NL are playing tighter and making big lay downs. They are not semibluffing often and also not bluffing all that often. It feels like nut peddling very often. Check-raises on flops usually means sets and never a flushdraw and 2 overs for example. I've started to play more cautiously since I found myself on the bad end of coolers way too often. I'd like to illustrate that with the following hand. How would you guys play it ?

ferrari1f, as a std, this is the kind of spot we all agree that we are going broke... but if the places were inverted, the same would happen w villain.
That said, in those spots = not much money to make.

Afulibador, I agree with you, but I decided during the hand to take this weak line where I just call it down to save myself some money since I figured out that on 10NL, people are only raising with 55/88 here, and just nothing else.

I don't know how much you guys have experience with 10 NL Zoom Poker on Stars. Feel free to comment on my observation.

Man, u are right. And its not just about stars... but micros in general the "normal" is to not have raises. When they raise, u should turn on the alert mode.

I'd say "micro's" instead, indeed.

Thank you. Good luck at the tables man !

This hand is not the time to figure out if he is bluffing. He puts in $10 to win $5. It is an easy laydown because we have many better bluff catchers (all possible sets) and should fold the majority (about 65%) of our bluff catchers.

Besides, the turn bet is way too big.

Turn bet looks fine to get value from worse Ax and 2 pair?

For the forum, I'd say fold the river. In game, I'd call and pretend I got 'unlucky' when he flips a set.
