I think you played the hand just fine. If you ran into :8x: , then it's a cooler. However, this thing matters less, because you are pot committed on the river as well.

Judging by the villain's AF, so far, I'd shove river myself, because I'd rather see him call (with a weaker hand) than check mack and miss value from :Jx:

Except for the river, I'd have played this hand the same way.

I'd go for psb on the flop and as Zanardi stated, shove the river.

I hate that turn card. Nonetheless, we have to pay off this and get on to the next hand. To check and fold an overpair isn't really attractive, even if I have that sick feeling... Shove river.
