There is no reason to build a big pot with a middling hand unless you can get away from it if necessary. This is easier said than done, and a more passive line may be appropriate. As a matter of principle, I like to be in the drivers seat when turning aggressive with marginal hands. Others obviously disagree here, but for me, position rules more than anything else in this game.
