Give your thoughts. Why do you just call preflop, how would you play on flop?

The limper was a 55/3 out of 77 hands. I decided to call here because I believed I dominated almost their entire range from the both of them.
OTF I was planning to call TP with TK. I would x/f with low flop since I perceive these 2 as pretty loose.
I liked the flop and on this moment I was considering whether to ship it or call and let villain keep betting.
However, I don't know which is the best decision. Will tell you after how it went ;)

What about a smaller, like 8c-10c donk on the flop?

You could lead OTF but x/c is fine too.

@CANeZ: No need to donk when the button is 100% to take off.

Preflop: "Keeping fish with half stack in pot" is decidedly not a concern when we are OOP. Just 3-bet with fire!

On the flop, the main concern is that you probably have the best hand, not the draw. I'd reraise an amount that button would probably call with a bad draw/pair, but not shove. If MP tags along, that's fine. Then shove every turn if they don't shove before you.

I prefer 3b prefloo and mostly agree with what Yohan wrote. I do not mind getting it in.

Yes, should have 3bet preflop, I see it now.

Below the remainder of the hand:

Hero calls $0.06, MP calls $0.06

Flop: ($0.25) 9  J :diamond: 5  (3 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, BTN bets $0.17, Hero calls $0.17, MP folds

Turn: ($0.59) 8 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $0.41, Hero raises to $5.22, BTN calls $1.51 all in

River: ($4.43) 8 :spade: (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $4.43
Hero shows J  A
BTN shows 5 :spade: 5 :diamond:
BTN wins $4.27
(Rake: $0.16)

Well, sometimes you will face top of his range. But still we should try to play it right.

Yes true. The result wasn't actually too interesting. Rather the 3b at the beginning and discussion what to do OTF.

I think that if you called on the flop, you should've just called on the turn.

On the flop your odds to get the flush were better, so if you were going to 3-bet, you should've done it on the flop.

The flop, I think calling, raising or shoving would be fine. You would have to decide if he was likely to call if you shoved. If not, I think you should've just raised. But calling is fine too.

Yes, I think so too in terms of equity we can multiply by approx. 4 if we shove OTF.

The 4/2 rule. Multiply on flop by 4, on turn by 2.

Could you explain me a little bit further why is it not so good to donk a small bet OTF? I think with this we can still keep weaker hands in the pot and we can improve. We are better to check to the button to not fold any weaker hands, which can happen to our donk? And perhaps because he would bet after check with a high frequency(?) is it better way to extract value?

Thanks!

I am not so sure we want to keep two weaker hands in the pot drawing to beat us. Like I said, the main track for me is that we have a vulnerable TPTK. I'm not particularly interested in keeping the small-stack fish in on the flop either. It is essentially slowplaying TPTK 3-ways. Not a good idea in general. Flush will fill only 33% (or so) of the time. 4-ways or 5-ways things may change again, then the TPTK would be a lesser concern. It would also be easy to get away from TPTK more multi-way.

With flush draw only here a small donk or a check-call seems much nicer.

The line I chose has a downside donking out doesn't have. By check-raising we may isolate versus stronger hands. But take into account that button is pretty wild, I don't mind that risk.

Hi!

First of all I find it very useful and interesting that from the answers everybody can "extract some value" :-) I mean can learn concepts.

As for your quoted comment, what your last 2 sentences really mean? I am not hundred percent sure I got it correctly, thats why I kindly ask you.

It means that we have great value versus any range button could call or reraise with. A tight player might call or reraise only if we are beaten.
