so here is a hand that I was a little lost on at the river.
question 1: should I have bet the river.
question 2: should I have called the river raise

1) I had a made staright on the river and he had checked the river, I could have gotten a call from hands such as AJ, AQ, AK, JK, JQ, KQ, the flush completing on river is a scary card for me as I had the made straight, but I don't believe he would have checked raised with two pair on the river seeing that a lot of straights had complete and of course the flush draw. i said i am going to bet/fold this river seeing the 3rd flush card. trying to get a call from weaker hands. any flush drawing hand beats me Axs. A10 is unlikely as cbeting flop and turn runner runner for the straight to work for him.

2) seeing it now, no i shouldn't have bet the flop. my greed got to me on this one, a lot of worse hands can find a call here but a lot of better hands can raise me. so this specifically i should have checked and taken the result but should this situation arise again i still don't know what is the better any help from you guys on what you would do ? i don't think the river was a calling hand. not with the Kc there. majority of the time.

Hard to say... he could've bet the river one last time to represent a flush bluff. It is unlikely he check raise you with flush bluff. So I would say he makes a flush and induce a bet from you which it worked.

Pretty donkish to call the flop and turn just to fold on river when you made a runner runner straight.

You think he was C betting to make you fold, but when you made your hand, you folded it.

1)If you are sure he doesn't have a flush draw on the flop. Bet on river.

2)No you should not have call the check raise on the river. You can only beat a bluff at that point.

You should not call turn without a plan. You can fold or raise on turn without much thinking.

I don't understand your item 2 in OP. Are you talking about this hand?

Thinks it's meant to say "bet on the river"

Agree with this.
As played, there are better straights and flush possible, so not calling.

I would call the flop. Then I don´t like calling the turn, I´d raise there. This will make our decision on river easier, as villain is likely not to fire donk OTR and if so, we can easily fold. As played, I fold OTR. Villain has this range imo KQs,QJs,AcQc,AcTc,Ac5c,Ac4c,Ac3c,Ac2c and against it we have 25% equity.

Edit: We might exluced QJ and KQ from villain´s range, as it would be overplay if he played it like that. That would make us stand even more behind.

You don't have enough equity OTF to call. You have only 3 clean outs. You might have some implieds so maybe calling OTF is not so bad.
Calling OTT will be close too.
OTR you can bet but I would do it smaller and then fold vs a raise.

You aren't calling for odds and outs. I have seen much worse calls been advocated in these forums when positions are reversed. Like when holding possibly dominated overcards with backdoors. (These hands undoubtedly have higher equity.) Then people tend to check-call. But this is for me a very standard float. The gutshot is a bonus and it is a small bet to call. But this is also why it takes a plan to call. The plan here is that we have quite a few fake outs, some real outs, and some (6) cards that might be enough to win by checking behind later.

Equity is not the most important factor when floating. Position is, followed by playability of hand. Equity tells only how many hands you win if you get to showdown, not how much you win (or lose).
