888 Poker - 30/60 Ante 5 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 4 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (BB): 59.42 BB
CO: 36.17 BB (VPIP: 21.43, PFR: 8.33, 3Bet Preflop: 16.67, Hands: 14)
BTN: 22.17 BB (VPIP: 21.43, PFR: 15.38, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 14)
SB: 32.25 BB (VPIP: 49.35, PFR: 14.67, 3Bet Preflop: 7.41, Hands: 79)

4 players post ante of 0.08 BB, SB posts SB 0.5 BB, Hero posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.83 BB) Hero has J♦ J♣

CO raises to 3 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 2 BB

Flop: (6.83 BB, 2 players) K♣ 3♣ T♣
Hero checks, CO bets 3.42 BB, Hero calls 3.42 BB

Turn: (13.67 BB, 2 players) J♠
Hero bets 6.83 BB, CO raises to 29.67 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 22.83 BB

River: (73 BB, 2 players) 3♦

I decided to bet the turn for value and protection, the size can be different, but I think taking the lead is correct. Any thoughts?

I think your line is fine here. And even if villain shows up with a made hand we still have some outs.
We could argue a 3bet pre for sure, since JJ doesn't play that well OOP.

I think villain has the Aclubs a lot (AK or AQ does make sense), as well as some sets (KK, TT) and sometimes KxQs or QsTx

Actually kinda fun figuring out his range.

This seems like a standard 3bet spot, but villain is tight with raising so far. If he would 4bet shove this would be an ugly ICM spot. Then you needed to fold against him.

As played I would most likely let him bet again on the turn and shove the rest of the chips in the middle, but your line isn’t bad ether against most likely a passive player.

Cheers,
