Interesting hand. I think that it's almost better to barrel the turn yourself than x/c. When we x/c we look like scared overpair so our leading river will always look somewhat fishy. (It's not that unreasonable for us to have some strong flushes but we'd probably barrel them quite often). Also I worry about players under a full stack - they're much more likely to make a bad call which still hurts us when we're bluffing.

Instead, when we barrel turn, we can shove diamond and heart rivers as well as potentially giving a hard time to some other hands.

I think your line might work at higher limits vs thinking players but probably not worth it at the micros.

bad idea on plo5. everything but c/f turn is just bad. on these stakes ppl never fold a flush ever. so nut flush blockers r worth nothing. also ppl dont fold straights on these stakes. only some of the tighter ones can fold those. but this spot is bad to represent a flush. if a diamond hit it would make more sense for villain to assume u got diamonds. but backdoor hearts is really unlikely. i mean if u want to bluff half the river cards that can come then half of them you would just fold right away i assume. so half the time pot is lost. then the other half where u would go for a bluff villain has to have basically a two pair or sth that he has to fold since a straight will probably not fold that often. u shud just say bye to these kind of plays since they just dont work at these stakes.
