The opposition is still so weak at the micros that you can brute-force them. I.e., you can earn a few bucks an hour by just playing a solid basic strategy at as many tables as you can handle.
But tbh, if your regular job pays well enough, then focus on getting a promotion there (or getting a higher rating at freelance platforms) - it's really hard to combine a job with pro poker, especially once you've chosen to maintain a romantic relationship.
The monthly EV at poker is the product of the hourly EV and the number of hours played, and the latter factor is actually more important. (I'm going to regret not playing for 100 or more hours last month despite having nothing else to do
Then I wouldn't be left with a BR of $25 that will take a few days to turn into a 3-figure amount at 9-man SNGs, which are the topic of tomorrow's Moshman show, btw.)
