But tbh, if your regular job pays well enough, then focus on getting a promotion there (or getting a higher rating at freelance platforms) - it's really hard to combine a job with pro poker, especially once you've chosen to maintain a romantic relationship.

The monthly EV at poker is the product of the hourly EV and the number of hours played, and the latter factor is actually more important. (I'm going to regret not playing for 100 or more hours last month despite having nothing else to do Then I wouldn't be left with a BR of $25 that will take a few days to turn into a 3-figure amount at 9-man SNGs, which are the topic of tomorrow's Moshman show, btw.)

looks strange to me. Do you really not have a personal 'pocket money' budget each where you put a small part of your income and which you can spend on whichever legitimate things you want? Your financial transparency is remarkable, and I guess your setup is uncommon in Western Europe.

Also, if I were your fiancée, I'd rather limit your Overwatch time than poker one, the latter is more profitable

We really don't have a personal pocket money thing no but tbh we just buy whatever we want/need. But since I'm running a shitload lately (training for an ultra marathon) I'd rather spend my money on running.

There is also a difference between spending money on things you want and spending money on "gambling"

That said, the task to turn $20 into at least $100 without redepositing or withdrawing is quite trivial even nowadays, so it's not bad that you've been subjected to this trial. If you fail it, then you wouldn't be profitable enough at higher stake games anyway.

Well she does know it's not gambling, but with the house and stuff I almost feel it's like gambling. Specially since I haven't played for this long. Last time I played was live and I lost about €400. Lets take everything slow now

nl2 was going well. I stopped nl5 somewhere, grinded by loss back up on nl2, but shit kept happening. Tbh Could really feel it was a sunday today. How many ppl check TPTK or the nuts as PFR. Holy shit guys... Thank fuck they never got much money from me.

Btw could anyone explain to me what I should do with "the deal" tickets on stars? I just play once a day to maximize the shot I have at a share. Is it the best way or just I bank up?

We have an entire thread dedicated to that. Basically, the strategy is to wait until the jackpot is high enough (maybe around 150K-200K, possibly 100K if you're aggressive) and then play once every 12 hours until someone takes it down. Feel free to use your StarsCoins as well, if you can spare some. As long as you don't forget to play when it matters, you should get a pretty good rate for your Coins. Better than just cashing them out, at least.

You know that feeling when you move up and you feel like everyone is 3 betting/4 betting you. Well thank god I'm past that. But just some random shit. And then I made a massive mistake where I blew 2 stacks in 1 hand (insert facepalm emoji here)
