Good luck with the cash games Prim! With Harrier making GL-Pancakes like that, I think a sweet year of CGs is definitely coming :)

I think you will be very successful and I look forward to following the journey.

Oh and Lizzy is going through a big Frozen phase right now and loves the Auna gif!

I'm afraid no one in his right mind would try and eat what Harrier is making though :transpire:
Better for your luck to avoid it if you can. :sorry:

Ok. I trust you.
Maybe I'm just jealous because I hadn't some.

Why do you think Harrier got the special "golden poo poo" price? :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly:

For those who don´t know what that is: look here.

Nobody is more precise than me ...

...in beeing break-even! No joke! I hit the tables on Unibet for a second session NL4 and NL10 and at the beginning really NOTHING worked out! NOTHING! Not a single board I could hit, not a single draw I could make and the best of the best was blowing away a stack with a fish-call on river. Unfortunately couldn´t take a pic, cause had 4 tables open. But the hand went roughly like this:

I´m in the SB and an unknown Villain raised CO. I 3-bet and he calls. I hold A♥ T♣. The flop goes like x-x-A and I decide to x/c flop. Turn goes check-check, it´s a blank and the river comes and is a 9. Three clubs on the board, I hold a blocker and decide to x/c river. So I x and Villain suddenly makes a HUGE overbet! :f_o: I think and think what on earth could overbet in his range and decide to "hero call". Well, almost worked out. Villain held 99 and rivered his set.

After a couple of trash-hands good and bad bluffs, pre-flop work and stuff I find a 7-7-x flop. I´m holding A7s, I am oop and decide to x/r flop. That´s what I do! Two Villains decide to jam and of course I get it in. Both hold a naked flush draw which hit on the turn. Oh bummer! Same of another hand where I raised CO with Q9s. Flop goes QQx, with two spades (I have no spade), I decide to x/r (vs aggro-BTN) and that´s what I do! 2 Villains in the pot and MP, who had checked flop decides to jam upon my x/r - we get it in, BTN folds and he shows T♠ 8♠ - and the flush hits on turn. Whoooohoooo!

After even more totally missed flops and junk hands, my luck turns around and I´m getting good value hands: flushes, sets, trips and the BEST: At one of my tables there was a Villain on tilt!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana: I´m actually tired ...but can´t just leave a table where someone is on tilt, right? I took stack after stack from him, it was a blast! Then he left and I got tired and left too... with a "huge winning" of +0,02€. :f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::f_ugly::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

Usually ATo is a fold SB vs CO. Could work against some really fishy opponents though.
Check/raising Q9s might also be a little optimistic but then again why not.

Agree. Vs a std 28% opening range from CO, ATo is a fold, even AJo is a 3bet only half the time. A9s or KTs are MUCH better than ATo there.
You can deviate if 1) Villain folds too much pre or 2) he folds too much postflop.

Oh boy! As said: Haven´t studied the ranges in details so far :f_ugly: - that´s what I´m gonna do in 2020!

As fold equity pre and post can be pretty high, I went a bit loosy-goosy. :f_ugly:

Yep, without a solid understanding of preflop, mistakes postflop multiply. It's almost impossible to recover on the river from a huge mistake preflop

Just studying the ranges - and learnt, that I can forget my SnG/MTT ranges, especially my PKO-play!

We are not in a PKO-MTT here! So, shouldn´t play like that! :pcuser:

Must be tighter. :f_o: Can´t (always) be that loose maniac I used to be. :f_o:

Some maniac-moves worked out well but should hold myself back with those. :sifflote::sifflote:

yes and no, it depends on villains ranges. If they overfold the blinds you can find yourself opening 100% from the button, but in the vacuum/against decent ranges, being maniac means losing money. Of course, if you find spots population overfolds, you NEED to bluff your entire air. It's something you will learn quickly, i guess :)

I remember when I first transitioned from MTT/SNG to cash game. I would readily stack off on the flop with tptk i.e. AK and get set mined all too often. Obviously in a SNG/MTT with a 30BB stack calling off tptk is standard play, and it took a while to get the SNG style of play out of my blood.

Ouch, Arthur! Fortunately I remember that one from my old CG-days: pot control! Don´t go crazy with TPTK, don´t commit yourself with it. That´s the opposite of SnG/MTT strategy where you indeed get it in with AK von a A-5-7-board, especially in low limit PKOs. Yesterday I folded QQ on a 5♥ 7♠ :9:s -flop with two Villains in the pot, one donking in right away and the other one minraising. Even in a HU pot you don´t go crazy with AA, KK, QQ like you do in tournaments.

The thing is that you´re not in a hurry in a CG, you are not forced to stack off due to increasing blinds. That´s what I enjoy very much! :f_love:

Yesterday I made the mistake of raising WAY too loose pf! :sifflote::sifflote:

Didn´t remember the ranges anymore, so studied them today. Was surprised how "tight" they are but the positive side is: Easier to learn than all those SnG- and MTT-jamming ranges. And we definitely don´t have push-any2-spots :mdr:

But really, no joke: I have to be so careful when I see a short stack!!! :mdr:

The very normal madness ...

Yeah, almost forgot them: those random hands :f_ugly: which sometimes really surprise you. Lost two times with a set vs random str8, with QQ vs some random A6-trips and jammed once with KK into AA (ok, that one can happen). So, not a really great session but not that bad either. Had to say "goodbye" to 3 stacks, which makes about -13€, could only double up once in this session with a flopped str8. Two bad bluffs were inside the rest went pretty unspectacular with collecting smaller pots or just folding junk. Learnt the ranges yesterday and feel more comfy with them.

Noticed that there are still very "interesting" players in CGs, ok, I play NL4 but didn´t expect that there are still players which I know from my "good old days". Further, I´m getting a bit more routine now at the CG-tables and enjoy them. Will for sure do more study off the tables but after a little break, I´m planning to pick up four cards.

Were they really "random", though, or did those players simply play their draws?

One was runner runner after getting it in on flop and the other one was hitting on the turn after getting it in on the flop.
