I guess it's just fold pre. How do I adjust to hold-up pots? People seem to go nuts on hold-up pots. As played, check-call flop with the intention od calling one more if there are no aces? Do I need to protect my hand or is it, as I suspect, more important to just keep the pot as small as I can?

What the hell are you doing preflop? Just fold? Even 4betting is much better here. Why would you raise the flop? Just get to a cheap showdown.

My thoughts exactly. What are you doing preflop?

Ok, ok. So 4bet or fold? Can anybody put this in a solver? Maybe 75% fold 25% 4bet?

Thanks

I would think j9s should be 100% fold vs an utg open and mp 3bet.

Easy fold pre-flop. You are lucky if you have 2 live cards post-flop and you aren't closing the action. You need really good reads and stats on both villains to consider 4betting.

This flop is 1 of the better flops you can hit, but you have only a bluff catcher. Raising makes no sense. You can better call to keep villains range as wide as possible.

Now you need to bluff shove the turn to have a chance to win the hand and that's marginal against villains range. The ace could be a scare card, but tough to represent it based on your play so far.
