So the day has ended, we lost 5 PokerStrategists today out of the 21 that i managed to track down. Here are the final chip counts:

Allanon 18,075
Zwacke 28,600
overbe 31,000
philbort 33,600
cYde 60,000
behlinho 46,000
PokerNoob 37,525
FA_Morgoth 95,000
seb1986 33,050
winkiac 39,750
LederJoe 24,975
HighCardAceK 30,450
Grezstar 20,750
swordfish007 42,300
Yoghi 82,425
kernassi 33,000
chenny8888 busto

the others who hit the rails today were psychobenny, lechuckpoker, br0nx and Dalcon

chenny8888 was down to around 4.5k chips when he played his last hand. He open shipped A:d 7:d (with 11bb) and was called by the big blind A:h 9:d. A 9 came on the flop with no diamonds and two more blanks on the turn on the river sealed chenny's fate.

_____________

LederJoe had a sick last few hands. He was first crippled before doubling up in the last hand of the day. In the first one, He raised 8:d 9:d and got 1 caller. Flop A:d T:d 9, he c-bets 1,050, villain raises to 4,000, he makes it 11,400, villain goes all in and he calls. He missed all his outs and was down to around 10k.

In the last hand, he went in with AJ, got called by AK, and sucked out to double up.

______________

Yoghi made a big double up right before the end to finish really strongly. One player open raised to 1,025, another called, Yoghi made it 3,500 from the CO, original raiser folds, the caller makes it 11,025, and Yoghi goes all in. Villain tanks before calling.

KK vs AK. Flop J T Q giving villain the straight. Turn T. River K improving Yoghi to a full house.

In the final hand of the night, he also picked up a set, but unfortunately villain folded top pair to his bet.

I play today so gl to every1. Table 106 in Pavillon white :) Gl

We'll be starting Day 1C soon, not too sure yet who is playing today.

If you know a PokerStrategist who is playing, it would be helpful if you can get their table and seat assignments so i can look them up. The name list doesn't get published until 7-8 hours after the day starts, so a name alone isn't really too helpful. :f_cool:

hmm knowing yoghi I think that was the point :).

So far, have only found two PokerStrategists, so if you know anyone else, do send in their PokerStrategy.com id and their table/seat assignments.

HenrikX

chessmasterD

By my estimate, there are at least 2,500 players today.

Saw a player getting eliminated 20 minutes into the start. It was all in on the turn on a dry K-high board. AA vs KK and the player with the rockets got sent home.

Lex Veldhuis "I want to go deep this year. Only sets, flushes of straights"

Daniel Negreanu, doesn't look too cheerful today

Johnny Chan, making a rare appearance in WSOP 2010

They souped up the TV Table big time for the main event

Chip counts of the 3 PokerStrategists after level 1, blinds will be up to 100/200 next.

simon1989: 26k
HenrikX 20k
chessmasterD 24k

simon1989

durrrr who is seated on the table next to Simon is down to around 17k chips.

HenrikX won the last hand before the break. He defended his big blind after a small raise from the BU for 225. Flop came 2:h 4:h 3:s, HenrikX checked, button bet 300, HenrikX called.

Turn A:s, both checked. River 6:c, HenrikX bet 700 and button called after thinking for 20 seconds. HenrikX tabled 5:s 8:s, to take the hand. I guess the board was almost as good as it gets for his hand :f_cool:

HenrikX also has Amnon Filipi on his table. Filipi has around 40k chips now.

Nothing too interesting to report, other than Phil Hellmuth showing up as an MMA fighter. Thank god he was in a robe that covered everything. :)

Phil Hellmuth

From PokerNews:

"Players at Hellmuth's table anted up $100 each for a pool -- whoever busts Hellmuth wins all the cash." #waitingonhellmuth

Mr. Brat is scheduled to arrive to the Rio in just about five minutes.

Also according to PokerNews, Dario Minieri and recent WSOP Tournament of Champions winner Huck Seed are already busto.

Dario Minieri

3 hours into Day 1C now. Here are the chip counts:

simon1989 37k
HenrikX 23k
chessmasterD 32k

here are a couple of hands from them:

Mp3 raised to 525, chessmaterD calls from the CO, SB and BB calls. Flop 3:s 9:s T:h, three check, chessmasterD bets 1,500, blinds fold and MP3 calls.

Turn 4:d, both check. River K:h, MP3 bets 2,400, chessmasterD asks "How much you have?" and bets 8,000. MP3 tanks and folds.

not sure how simon1989 got all his chips but the biggest post i saw him take down was played out preflop. UTG min raises to 600, UTG+1 makes it 2,200, simon1989 in UTG+2 makes it 5,700 and everyone folds.

durrrr has been involved in a lot of pots so far but he is still below the starting stack the last i checked (23k). He won a ~20k pot in the hand below after betting all three streets and getting one caller.

The flop was 5:d 6:d 8:h, durrrr was UTG and bet 1,125, one fold and CO calls. Turn 3:c, durrrr bets 2,250 and villain calls. River 8:d, durrr makes it 5,650 and villain calls again. durrrr shows J:s 8:c for the rivered trips.
