1. We are beat almost every time, so I voted for fold. The only hand we beat is a pure bluff which is not unlikely at this limit but in this situation I think.

2. I think a good line would be to check behind the turn and bet/call the river. The reason is that we don't want to fold to a raise here and in most cases (exept the flush draw) he doesn't have many outs against us (only K,Q). It might be also possible that he value bets a small pocket or the T at the river, which he might have folded otherwise.

I guess you mean the turn.
A bet doesn't make sense because no weaker hand will call and almost no better hand will fold. As it is a blind battle and a busted flush draw is possible, I would play check/call but with 1:6 it is pretty close.

1) He cold-called the flop, he called the turn. Now the river delivers the flush draw plus all kinds of straight draws, and he bets into two. We are beat and I fold. But it hurts.

2) I don't want to fold to a raise, so I check behind and call the river. I may gain a bluff bet, and lose less if he does have the A.

3) It looks like he doesn't have the A, and none of the draws arrived on the river, so there's actually a chance that we're ahead. But he won't call with a worse hand, so I play check/call to induce a bluff by a busted fd.

Sure. Thx.

I guess this hand is similar or do you see a difference?

Yes I do. In you hand there are yet overcards who can come on the turn and river, it's 2-suited and a bit better connected. :)

Sorry, I don't understand what you want to say. Can you please explain it more precisely.
Thanks.

In your sample hand there are more draws possible and an Ace or King can beat you as well. Because of this your opponent has more outs on average an so you have to play it slightly differently.

Why is a board 99T better connected than 9TQ? In both spots flush and straight draws are possible. In the first (my hand) A or K is bad whereas in the sample hand only a K hurts.
What do you mean by 2-suited? The backdoor flush in ?
But I think bit by bit I understand the difference ...

LOL TCR!
I thought you mean hand 2) and not 1).

Can you say why you think that they are similiar? :)

And I just started to figure out a difference ...
(but sorry, I didn't say which hand I mean)

OK, in both hands we have top pair and overpair respectively. In my hand every K or A can break my neck whereat the sample hand an Ace would give us 2pair. Of course both hands allow flush- and straight draws.

Likely hands which beat us in my hand: fd, Kx, OJ
Likely hands which beat us in sample hand: fd, Kx, QJ, 8x, J9, JT

Do you agree with that?

I guess a bluff is unlikely in both spots.

I agree with you. :) Your hand has sligtly more value because there are less hands that can beat us. :)

1) Nearly every hansd beat us now but on the other hand the pot is already very big. As the vote shows us the decision is really close and I think both is ok here. It's no big mistake to call here.

If you have some reads then you can make good folds or calls. For example if you know that he he is very passive and will never bluff here then you can fold. If you know that he bluffs every river then you can call.

2) Here you would hate a check/raise but you will lose too much value if you check behind. If he is only calling our bet we can bet many rivercards for value again. If he raises we have a crying calldown because of the flushdraw possibility and the fact that he may overplay his T.

3) Check/call river was the correct answer here. We might induce a bluff which we beat most of the time. An alternative would be to check/call the turn and then check/fold the river. :)
