Can't really make head nor tail of the villians actions in this hand.

Villian had been very aggresive & betting on almost every pot heads up against me.

Figured I could call the flop try to take pot on later streets. When Villian checked the turn, I figured it was a sign of weakness & a good spot to take the pot.

Was expecting to lose the showdown.

I generally struggle against villians of this type, this type of over-playing very marginal hands is probably a very bad idea. If I just stuck to ABC poker & bet/raise strong with made hands he will pay me off nicely & make up for a fair few folds before hand.

Hello Philfox1985,

Not the greatest board to float while you don't have yourself even any good backdoors. But of course now again it depends what kind reads/stats you had on him that you decided to pick such a line. But as you mentioned that he was aggressive and betting almost always then I don't really see why you even should consider Calling the flop if he is capable 2nd barreling a lot.

Best regards.
