I can not get a break this weekend, I keep on losing HU games and busting 3rd so often. Either I lose my 65/35, or I run into better hands, it sucks :)

Luckily there's music that helps me clear my mind, a local Belgian band has a song (and has had for quite some time) called 'she wolf'. The whole atmosphere of the song just keeps sucking me in...

Now then, for my graph from this weekend (I'm including Friday-Saturday-Sunday):

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

That's 39.0% ITM with a whopping 2.4% 1st place, obviously resulting in a downward graph (-18.0% ROI). Mentally I'm still going pretty good though, it will have to turn around one time, and I'm trying to work on my HU game to get a better ROI. Will play another session tonight, so hopefully I can update with some better looking giraffe later today!

So I just lost the stake, as the stakee needed the extra money. Kind of bummed about this, but nothing I can do, after putting in 200 games last week, I've been sick most of this week and I wanted to start grinding again today.

Combined with the OOMMBager guy who seems to have disappeared with a $70 stake of mine, I'm kind of totally broke. I have €5 in my account which should be enough to 1-table 0.10/0.20 FL SH. I only need 6 more VPP for another $10 milestone, so I should be back on track quite soon.

It sucks, but that's life right? It's in the difficult times where we show how much we want something.

Hurray, last update was well over five days ago. Quite a lot happened actually. I will post them in cliffstyle:

:diamond: Lost the stake, like a baws
:diamond: Played FPP sats to the Sunday Storm, like a baws
:diamond: Won T-USD 33, like a baws
:diamond: Cleared a $10 Steller award, like a baws
:diamond: Had someone ship me $125 (I'd have paid him on his bank acc), like a baws
:diamond: Played 0.25/0.50 FL SH, like a baws
:diamond: Lost 88BB in 1k hands, like a newb
:diamond: Played a mix of $1.5/$3.5 sng's, like a baws
:diamond: Got an extra bill for my physio, like a baws
:diamond: Shipped back the $125, like a trustworthy baws
:diamond: Stuck with 11BI for the $1.5's
 Still not broke, trying to grind back up from these 11BI (sets of 10 at a time), like a maniac!

There you have it, quite a lot of cliffs :P

As a treat, my lifetime graph for the 1.5 and 3.5 combined.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

553 games, 5.7% ROI, average buy-in $1.54.

I'm now staying 100% with sng's, as they seem the only type of poker where I'm making somewhat of a profit. Might re-open my search for a staker, but it's going to be difficult to find someone to stake me for relative small return. I can only try though.

Some points from yesterday (who exceed the 16 points) still need to be added, so I guess that's one goal I managed to hit.

All my goals were focused on the FL game, which I obviously didn't play throughout the month. My goals for August will all be SNG related, so hopefully I can checkmark ALL of them next month :)

Still not broke with the 11BI, I'm at 12.6BI now :f_cool:

So yeah, I'm broke now. The 11BI brm didn't quite work out as I finally managed to run below EV for a change. Had it coming because I was running ridiculously high above it, but the timing of it sucked. My ROI went from 5.x% to a very disappointing 3.3% before going broke. Not even 600 game sample, so a bad day can affect your ROI still by 1-2.5%.

Not too sure what to do now, I obviously lack funds to deposit myself (thank you medical costs concerning my ACL), and I have found it increasingly difficult to find interested people to stake me. But as they say, when the going gets tough the tough get going, so I will apply for a stake, like a baws and hope something comes out of it.

This severely messes up my lockdown plans for this weekend, I might actually have to go outside and talk to people in real life! The thought alone is giving me the jitters! :f_cool:

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii I'm gold! Also, received a ministake to keep me playing the $0.50 45m Turbo's. I play until I have 100 games or until I'm broke :P It's refreshing playing something else than the 9m, but I need to adjust my play just a bit if I want it to be a successful stake.

Either way: thank you staker for giving me the chance to keep playing some poker this weekend, it's much appreciated and I'll try to atleast be breakeven ;)

Played 5 this night, obv cashed in 0. 95 to go!

My July goals were screwed up beyond recognition so I will not bother reviewing them.

As I mentioned earlier, I got a smallish stake from a ps.com member. Thank you very much for the opportunity! I have repaid the full amount although using 5BI already. I just didn't feel comfortable playing the 45m.

The Pokerstars news that one could become Platinumstar with only 750VPP sounded like music in my ears. I deposited $100 with which I will grind the $1.5's and the $3.5's. I will refrain of loading up $3.5's whenever my bankroll is below $100. Once it goes to $100.01 I will load both games up in a 70/30 ratio.

Now then, my August goals

 play 800 sng's in the $1.50 and $3.5 combined
 have a + ROI on this sample
 DO NOT play anything else, except for FPP sats for some extra T$
 stay Goldstatus on Pokerstrategy
 get Platinumstar on Pokerstars in August and September

Quite simple goals to be honest, and that's what I was going for. I already played 20 games (17 $1.50's) but once again failed to run better in HU. Made the money in only 35.0% of the games, which resulted in a -ROI. Not a good way to start the month, but I'm so motivated to keep grinding, it's close to ridiculous!

I started playing in sets as opposed to continuos sessions to see if that would help my play a bit. So far I have not noticed anything different and it is 'hurting' my overall volume. I'm going to keep playing in sets this week and re-evaluate next week to see if I'm staying or moving on to the continuous sessions.

I hope to see many bad players join the sng's to get to those Gold- and Platinumstar icons (me included!) so I can finally start making a profit for a change. I'm not asking for a lot, just a +ROI at the end of the month :).

Hey man, why don't you try playing cash games? The sngs especially the low ones are ridiculous and could tilt a zen master not to mention the swings, every time you play a hand you must have the best hand if you wanna win, bluffing doesn't work so the variance will be quite high. I had people call me before the final table bubble with 94 and hitting two pair as I had queens and countless other situations like that. Save your life, go for cash games. :)
