Turn could go bigger like 80c or so.

Why check river? You expect him to bluff here a lot? I think its much better to jam yourself for value rather than let him check back weaker hands for a free showdown. He will a lot more often have medium showdown value hands than busted draws which bluff.

bet/calling for value on the river 1/2 pot would be fine here ?

what do you guys think he has with that play on he river? something like JJ- TT or pocket 99s?

Cheers for reply! I've been trying to work out some solid bet sizing for each street for certain hands and its good to hear from you guys.

The only thing I could go by was his stack size looked a bit fishworthy and was hoping he'd have nothing and try and bluff me on the river.

I don't think neither of us were going anywhere especially him, but would anyone recommend folding on the river with no info on the villain?

It's a though one I think. There's not too much you beat if he's valuebetting. Perhaps he's betting AJ/AT here for value, hoping you'll call him down with a lower A. I would see some NL5 players make this play with air, since your line looks relatively weak (bet small on 2 streets, check river)

You get approx 1/2.3 pot odds here. Meaning a call would be profitable if you win the pot 42.5% of the time. Do you think this is the case here?

How did you get 42.5%, the pot odds are 1.73/5.68 = ~30%

Is it ok to make a 1/3 bet on river and then fold to a raise?

I did not add the amount to call ($1,73) to the total pot, making the formula 3,95/1,73. A mistake I've been making all along while calculating pot odds I realise now... 🐋

Turn sizing is okay, no need to go bigger because we can stack Ax by the river and we want a call from 99, 6x type of hands too.(villain seems recreational I assume he is )
River should be a jam imo (we have less than 1psb), weaker players loves to play Ax hands and Ax never folds because it's trips and usually weaker players doesn't understand relativ hand strenghts.

Do you play with a hud? apart from his stack did he had fishy stats?
Bet more flop, bet more turn, check call river.
Its just variance, but you will be losing value in the long run if you start folding this hands at nl5.

I only had 6 or so hands on him and yeah I play with a HUD, I cant even find him in HM2 now.

Here is another similar hand apart from the fact a called the whole way and basically doubled the villains stack! Thought the all in was way over the top so I figured a bluff. He sure reeled me in
