Hi all, happy holidays, merry grind ![]()
[Scroll down for my random thoughts on SNG formats.]
I've felt a bit of a pity for Prim trolls who'll be missing her while she's on vacation in the North Sea :gl:, so I've decided to trial a blog of my own for the banter and see how it goes ![]()
The topics I'm now interested in include (in descending order):
The mental game (mainly discipline)
All kinds of KO tourneys
45-mans
18-mans
All kinds of Omaha
PokerStars Fusion / 6+ Holdem
Spin & Go Max (and other lottery SNGs)
HUSNGs incl. 4-mans
Microstakes series incl. Winter Series
9-mans
My current Stars balance is ~$16 (I had to withdraw $168 on Dec 27, so don't be surprised by my below discussion of higher stakes; it's been a Sisyphus grind this winter) and I'm not really keen on moving money yet (I think the first transfer will be to Unibet).
My eternal problem is that I've never had a sufficient sample size to make any claims about profitability since 2015. The only statistically significant data point is that I'm kind of beating the current $0.25 spins, though with a lower cEV (91 over 800 games, i.e. between 75 and 105, most likely) than a good reg would have. But frequenting Collin Moshman's coachings and videos must be another predictor of success.
So let's build some sample and try to pay the bills in the process (just $150 a month, don't sweat)
