Preflop: Hero is CO with A♥, 3♥. UTG+2 posts a blind of $0.10.
3 folds, Hero raises, BU folds, SB calls, UTG+2 folds.

why didn't SB raise here?
Flop: (5.00 SB) 8♠, A♣, 4♠ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

why does SB just call again?
Turn: (3.50 BB) 5♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.50 BB) 9♥ (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls.

was I right to bet here?
Final Pot: 11.50 BB

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows a pair of aces (A♥ 3♥)
SB shows a pair of aces (A♠ Q♣)

by the way: SBs hand is AQ. Don't think it sowed up on grabber

Firstly, wellcome to the forum! :)
Secondly, please, don't post hand's result as this might affect people's evaluation of your hand.
And finally, about the hand itself. SB play is weird and is definitely incorrect to play like he did. As for your play, I would just check the river because his raise on turn could mean everything from any pair to straight (but it's a made hand for sure). And checking on a blank river card when he had raised the turn, it's somehow suspicious, so I would just check here to cheaply see what hand he played like that.

Great- thanx for the input

Welcome. :)

Checking behind on the river is too weak. You lose too much money if you do so. You can't fold either because it might be some weird bluff from him.

I like the hand. Don't let results influence your play. :)

weak, I know. But what SB can be trying to do by raising the turn and checking the blank river?

He can do all three thing (ok 4 if he times out). He might have tried to bluff you on the turn and gives it up on the turn or a semi bluff with a flushdraw and a pair or just a flushdraw.

mh i don´t really get it... the river bet only makes sence if we expect a better hand will fold (yeah, right) or a worse hand will call... which worse hand will call us (which raised the turn) ?

sb played the hand excellent btw -.-

A pocketpair or the pair from the semi bluff?

mh for me the turn raise looks more like a value raise than a semi bluff. the 5  is a blank and i don´t really think that he would check/raise something like 78 on the turn

What does blank mean? It doesn't help his hand?

it doesn´t help his hand most likely.
also it´s not a scary card. most of time when you try a semi bluff you want a scary card to hit which increases your foldequity. in this case the 5  isn´t really scary because it completed no flush and only helped 67 (of course there are always unlikely two pairs or sets possible but htat´s not the point)

what's a semi-bluff?

Once again, read strategy articles first :)

Semi-bluff is the aggressive play when you don't have the best hand at the time, but have good chances to improve on the next streets (street=flop, turn, river :P )
