i fold on this turn since 79s got there
and also because i have no idea what to do on a blank river
rather make nitty folds earlier then call and get lost on the river, we are not even at the top of our range (what if he somehow does this with AQ as a merge value c/r?)

How may hands do you have on villian in total?

I did alot of work on the raise cbet % a while back and it breaks down to something like this (assuming adequate sample size).

0-7% Nuts - 2p+ - Mostly plays draws passively
7-11% - 2p+, good draws, occasional weak semibluff (gutter/overs) -often plays weak draws passivelly
11-15% All above plus pure bluffs, plays draws aggressively more often than not
15%+ all the above plus good TPs and total air balls

I suspect you dont have a big enough sample yet maybe but its a good starting point.

As played I would call flop fold turn, if I have more than 1k hands on villian i would fold flop and not even blink.

Can't find the hand again i HM, but I think I had at least a few hundred hands on him.

I just think that this is a typical spot where we will almost always face another bet OTT if we call the flop, which is why I think the line bet/calling flop and folding turn just sucks so much..

yeah I think your right about folding turn.

Given small sample size which makes analysing his raise cbet % pretty pointless I think id call down baring a spade.

I mean we need to start building reads on this guy and its better to lose some money now if he does have the set or KQ/AQ than wait until we have 2k hands on him and still be in the dark about him right?

I often dont mind making some light calls against new players early if I thnk it will make me play better vs him in the future, like in this case.
